7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageParents considering this school should be aware that the school environment is very unhealthy and challenging, especially for newcomers or families who are not part of the established local parent groups. Some parents appear to have strong influence within school activities and decisions, which makes others feel left out or unheard. Teachers often appear to have limited autonomy, as they are sometimes pressured to accommodate influential local parent groups. As a result, classroom experiences can vary not based on educational needs, but on the level of unnecessary parental involvement. Some parents appear to receive more favoritism, special treatment, and privileges, while others, particularly international parents have felt less supported or included. The school is not welcoming for everyone. The overall atmosphere does not always reflect the openness and progressiveness expected in a community surrounded by companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon etc. This has, at times, affected both parents and children’s experiences. It would be great to see stronger leadership focus on transparency, equity, and consistent support for all students. For parents who prioritize an inclusive, academically driven environment, it may be worth exploring other nearby public schools or private options that better match those expectations.Parent Review3mo ago18 Reviews - Eastlake High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEastlake is a great high school overall, and there are so many opportunities for all types of students. The faculty (mostly) are very nice, except for a few English and science teachers who have strict guidelines in their class and grade harshly, and the office staff/counselors are somewhat helpful, but I wouldn't recommend talking to the counselors since there are sometimes better resources online for SEL, unless you really want to. Currently in 2025, this school is undergoing renovations and more new opportunities are coming up for 27' and 28' students. However, this school has recently undergone a schedule change, where you will only have 6 periods instead of 7, and because of Washington's graduation requirements, you CANNOT fail a class if you want to graduate on time.Student Review6mo ago20 Reviews - Evergreen Junior High School

"Great potential for significant improvement on public transport once the light rail finally opens as everyday traffic is getting close to unbearable in certain areas such the end of 520 and Redmond Way"

"I just moved here less than 2 months ago from Portland area. This is a beautiful community, lots of diversity and accessible to Downtown Redmond and all the great shops and restaurants. I especially appreciate the beautiful bike and walking trails along the Sammamish River that are very well maintained. Commuting to Seattle or Bellevue is ready with Rapid Ride . .. this is a great location and very affordable. "
