3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageJust moved to town I wish my kids never attended here worst ever my kids never experience so much pointless drama that the staff act like they can’t control the staff in the office gave me a hard time about my daughter’s shot records when they could’ve easily called previous school to get them me and the old school had to do the footwork. It’s just ridiculous.Parent Review10mo ago4 Reviews - Earl Wooster High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe new Admin have bought in a (First 10 and last 10 extra assignment) for every class. On top of your normal class work and assignments. If you are representing your School for a Sport and miss this your grade immediately drops by 10 percent. No one knows why they are doing it. It lowers students GPA. And no study hall to make it up because they don't offer that.A friend of my Students grades dropped horribly because of this and failed numerous classes. My Student nearly failed also. Maybe to stop kids from skipping class but it punishes everyone. There is huge room for error and students grades dropping by huge percentages. They also lock bathrooms at the School. Which makes it hard for children to access bathrooms which is a basic human rights need. They have Awesome Sports Coaches and Teachers. And then there are the gangster kids. Unfortunately they are there. There were times when I felt unsafe. There are normal kids and IB kids also who are great.Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Roger Corbett Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLooking back on the education I was brought up with Roger Corbett Elementary in hindsight is a fantastic school. In thorough review it comes to mind that Roger Corbett Elementary was a gift of its excellent faculty, who were in my experience very friendly, engaging, thoughtful, and overall amazing addition to have been taught. In a loss of words to describe the memories built on this property to which educating the main goal succeeded splendidly I look back and gaze on the privileges this school had with wonderment innocence of a child. Academically I was gifted as child, which led to me being taught advanced courses separately but still in the same classroom of my peers with a specialized program instructor, these classes were interesting and engaging enough for an elementary student. Peers, friends were brought up on the excellent Cougar pledge the words which lose me but from memory recite responsibility, respect, safety and courage amongst others. In my time there I have only singularly had a fight in second grade, not of bullying but roughhousing with a now estranged friend. Moving on forward toward later years a never experienced hostility nor seen hostility engaged, this is due to the open dialogue of students to communicate conflict. Children were friendly in my time. Students and sometimes classes as a whole received rewards for academic progress, pizza party's, free time, and annual papers of achievements. Learning difficulties weren't differences we were taught singularly at the start and end the day the middle which allowed for reading groups or light assignments. Annually school wide events happened after school or during school like field day, or such as the Halloween festival engaging each class to work together and facilitate an activity. Amongst other things which elude my mind or may have changed I still remember this school fondly and wait for the future to send possible children here.Other Review6y ago1 Reviews - Check out schools near 205 E Nugget Ave.

"Commute is crazy. Way too much congestion. No planning had gone into the road infrastructure. Building of homes, businesses and apartments continues with no attention to the traffic congestion this causes. "

"Great neighborhood with great neighbors. Have lived here since 1991. Seen a lot of different neighbors. However, have not experienced any neighbors that were not good neighbors. Love the area. Would just like less people moving into our community. Still feels like a small town, but with lots more people. "

"Sparks is like Reno, slightly quieter and not as run down. we still have everything they do. including events, fishing, concerts, movie theaters, and shopping outlets. depending on where you are located you might be able to even see both downtown Sparks, and Reno. as well the mountains and hills. I can tell you about all the crime, the homeless, the traffic.. which is clearly evident. but there is so much beauty as well.. wonderful architectural examples, and even parks and museums... "
