9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe subjects are good, good community, the only problem is that your yearly experience is HEAVILY dependent on the teachers you get. My apush teacher only talks about himself and I just know I'm failing the AP test because of it. School lunch is good, Campus is great, I never find myself being late to classes, but the hall monitors can be a little strange at times. Gender neutral bathrooms are required to have the doors open at all times, which i'm pretty sure is to prevent vaping but it's kinda like really discriminatory towards gender non-conforming students. Overall really good school, I feel like I was kind of negative towards it but i've genuinely enjoyed my time here.Student Review2mo ago - Will C. Wood Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has flourished in this school balancing extracurricular activities in and outside of school and getting good grades. Some teachers are very engaged and seem to provide a comprehensive curriculum within their respective subjects.Parent Review2mo ago - Franklin Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe opted to move out of our home school for several reasons, including low average test scores and large school population. Franklin has been a fantastic fit for our son, now a third grader. The teachers in earlier grades were not the best, in our opinion, but so second and third grade experience have been fantastic. The teachers are very caring, the staff is accessible, and the after school program is great. Our son has made many good friends, been academically challenged, and grown up surrounded by a vey supportive PTA community that provides for those school items outside of the traditional school budget. We feel very fortunate that we are Franklin Falcons.Parent Review8y ago - Check out schools near 2031 Shoreline Dr #211.

"Moving to Alameda CA is a joyous occasion for many people who have discovered this wonderful island city. Many of my clients commute to San Francisco. When they couldn't afford to buy in the City, they decided to look to East Bay. It doesn't take them long to fall in love with our island that is so private and secure, yet so conveniently located for easy access to other cities. There is a wonderful collection of vintage homes, ranging from beautiful Victorians, stately Tudors, charming Craftsman and many styles of bungalows. This is truly a history and architecture buff's paradise. Alameda has great climate, great schools, and believe it or not, a wonderful selection of restaurants and ethnic cuisine. SHOPPING. We think we've "arrived" now that our Alameda Town Centre shopping center by the beach features Trader Joe's, Old Navy, Bed Bath & Beyond, TJMaxx, Kohl's. In May 2008, the historic and restored Alameda Theater opened its doors to our first 8-cineplex. DOWNTOWN. As for fine restaurants....the chef of the famous Baywolf Café in Oakland has opened his own restaurant in Alameda called Pappo's. We also now have a Cuban restaurant called Havana's. There's a really good Vietnamese restaurant called Dragon Rouge, the freshest sushi at Yume, dim sum at EastOcean, and more. And now, we have Zen Asian Fusion Tapas Bar, Spice I Am (Thai), Burmese Super Star, Angela's Bistro opened next to the newly restored an historic Alameda Theater. Besides the competing coffee powerhouses Starbucks and Peets, wine afficionados can go to Alameda Wine Company for wine tasting and to pick out wines from California and from all over the world. EASY COMMUTE. We commute to San Francisco via ferry and express bus to SF. Or take the regular bus to Oakland to catch BART. But the express bus and the ferry are the best and most enjoyable ways to go to the City. ALAMEDA SCHOOLS. Alameda has great schools, and is the school scores are collectively better than other cities."
