Note. All three star ratings are areas in which I have no knowledge. All five star ratings are areas I am personally involved in, and do have knowledge. It is my opinion that to give BMS a "1" rating in the area of equity is a cheap shot as GreatSchools gives no supporting data nor do they cite any documents to support their claim. I am an at large member of the BMS Family Resource Center (FRYSC) board, and have first hand experience with the program and it's administrator. The FRYSC program follows guidelines that are mandated by the State of Kentucky, and the administrator is dedicated to the core values of the program, one of which is seeing that opportunities are available to all students, period. The administrator makes many connections with students and family members, and all those connections are recorded. The administrator also goes to great lengths to offer programs and events designed to invite parents into the school family, letting them know that they and their child are important, and that their concerns will be heard. (Most recently, less than a month age, the administrator organized a "Take Dad to the Park" event. An elaborate day at the Bloomfield Park designed to get fathers more involved in their child's education) If there is a student at BMS who is not receiving an education or support opportunity that any other student is receiving, it is only because that student, or their parents, have chosen not to receive it. The old addage, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." applies here, if that is the case. If GreatSchools is interested in offering an accurate rating of the opportunities students have to access all programs available at BMS, I suggest they contact Bloomfield Middle School, and ask to speak directly to the administrator of the FRYSC program.

The superintendent is in way over his head. He consistently every year keeps turning over administrators. Several of our highly tenured teachers are leaving for other school districts because of low morale in the schools. It's time for a new superintendent.

I took my child here, every day he would come back to say that something bullied him, and he was the ONLY ONE GETTING IN TROUBLE, He said the Teachers hated him, had to pull him out in 1ST GRADE. Would Not recommend
