A short 55-mile trip from downtown Dallas leads to this waterfront home on 100 feet of open water located on the west side of Cedar Creek Lake with north east lake view. That means superb sunrises and backyard shade by noon cast by the trees and the porches! All rooms have fantastic and relaxing lake views. This home has 2 bedrooms each with king sized beds with a lake view, built in storage units, and walk in closets. The large open loft with a stunning view of the lake has two queen sized beds that convert to futons, a bathroom with tiled shower, and an office space. The house comfortably sleeps 6-8 people.
There are two bathrooms down, with the master that has a jetted tub, updated tiled, waterfall shower and granite counters. The guest/day bathroom has a walk in tiled waterfall tiled shower with bench and granite counters. The loft bathroom has tiled shower.
Downstairs, the kitchen has expansive granite counters for entertaining and adjoins the living area with three large Pella doors that open to the covered porch areas. The kitchen has new stainless steel LG appliances to include, stove/range, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and a Sonic-style ice-maker. Adjoining the kitchen is a laundry area with an LG washer and dryer that leads to the garage. There is abundant storage in the kitchen along with two pantry closets. The open living room with cathedral ceiling has an indoor fireplace and built in entertainment unit.
The covered porch has three areas. A central porch that looks out on to the lake and boat house. Off to the left is a nook with a cozy fireplace. To the right is an outdoor kitchen with granite counters and seating for six, along with a sink, gas grill, refrigerator and ice-maker. Steps on each side of the porch lead down to a 500 square foot uncovered deck that is great for entertaining large parties and dancing. There is seating for 30+ people on the wooden benches. A few steps down from the lower deck is the 8’ wide pier that leads to the boathouse with a boat lift and two jet ski lifts along with a storage unit. Over the boat house is the 800 square foot aluminum floored party deck with LED dimmable lighting.
The yard is landscaped for low and easy maintenance and uses water from the lake for the 3-zone sprinkler system that was upgraded in 2014. An attached oversized two-car garage with epoxy floor has custom lockable storage cabinets. Over the garage is an attic storage area accessible via a pull down stairway. There is also storage outside under the deck porches, as well as a separate work/tool shed on the north side of the house.
The house is heated and cooled by two heat pump units added in 2016. A 3-ton unit takes care of the south side of the house and 2-ton unit takes care of the north side of the house. Two new, efficient 50-gallon water heaters were added in 2015 and are housed in cabinets in the garage. Water and sewer are supplied by West Cedar Creek Municipal Utility District. Electric is supplied by a Trinity Valley Electric Cooperative. Cable TV and Internet choices are currently Suddenlink and CenturyLink companies. This house can be a great short-term rental house. There is no POA or HOA.
