"Very beautiful nature quite serene, secure neighborhoods people are nice to everybody what Sam right car, generous people in the neighborhood there are condominiums apartments or restaurants. Here we have Sanfaute court here. We have a boat yard marina as well with boats and high-end boats, and we also have the racing boat here at the University of Richmond."
  • Natasha Payne
"Has been a really rough experience wish I could say better but neighbor is quiet, don’t see neighbors don’t have complaints known party area but police do well with traffic on weekends. However awful management, pet owners are not compliant or enforced about pet waste "
  • Trulia User
"There are lots of food trucks on occasion, many beautiful historic homes and great food and bars. Truly a wonderful place to live. Not too loud at night as well. "
  • Trulia User
"Don’t live here; but stopped in this area just north of Rocketts Landing and, it was nice to see transit appears well established; with upgrades to stops clearing in the works, and be able to stop into a well lit BP Station, with a decent Food Mart, and clean restroom (though only one shared use.) "
  • Trey J.
"Belle Isle, Capital trail. access to the capital trail and the local restaurants and bars make this area a fun place to live"
  • Aleena G.
"Super close to multiple pulse, GRTC, Main Street station/Amtrak, and 95. Very easy to get around and in the heart of downtown, close to many restaurants, bars, and parks. Also right by the Canal and the canal walk."
  • Jake M.
"I’ve lived here for 3.5 yrs. Solid restaurants, crappy parking, solid people, and good bars. It is still kind of sketchy at night and I get all of my packages delivered to my place of work. It’s getting more and more crowded and rent keeps going up. Definitely a transitional neighborhood-not a settle down neighborhood "
  • Stacey11620
"Easy commuting to all of Richmond. Easy access to I95 and 64. Plenty of public transportation available. "
  • Alex L.
"The canal walk is literally amazing! It goes all the way to belle isle and the black history museum and Browns island and restaurants etc! "
  • Kiersten H.
"Heavy traffic area, some streets are secluded for family walks, parks are very close by. Good for pets and young professionals "
  • Carterjones591
"No one picks up their dog poo, there isn’t a lot of grassy areas for dogs to play, poop, pee, etc. "
  • Shafonda G.
"I drive and it’s always congestion in the area. So to find a place to park can be a hassle. Wish they would Broaden the parking decks for visitors. "
  • Trulia User
"Dogs are very welcome; they have plenty of places to walk & lots of smells for the dogs. And there are a lot of dogs in this neighborhood. "
  • Karimacraig
"I currently do not live in Shockoe bottom, I’m just visiting and I feel like it is more of a “singles” type neighborhood. "
