Description

After 4.5 years of happy occupation by great tenants, I'm once again putting my gorgeous, top-floor 1BR apartment up for rent. This apartment is open plan with 5 north-facing windows, tall ceilings, and great light throughout. I put in a hand-printed wallpaper accent wall in the HUGE bedroom (could fit king bed, easily!); modern kitchen appliances. Relatively new HVAC controlled in-unit! And the most important thing...so much storage: three (!) hall closets in addition to w/d closet and HVAC closet which provide additional storage; and an entire wall of closet in the bedroom. No upstairs neighbors to make any noise!

Very comfortable for a single or a couple, and cats very welcome (sorry - no dogs!). Specifically ideal for cat owners as there's a closet perfect for litter box with a cut-out in the door for cat access.

The building is gorgeous, built in the 1910s with a ton of character. I call it DC's Flatiron building. The stairwells have subway tiling and the hallways are all updated and really nice. But there are also elevators.

The location is of course the best thing. Mere blocks from Trader Joes, walkable to anything on 14th Street, Dupont Circle and its farmers market, Adams Morgan, Shaw. Starbucks and VIDA Fitness across the street as well.

Available August 3 (though this is negotiable) for a one-year lease, with one month rent as security deposit. The apartment will be unfurnished. Email me to come see it!

Tenant pays electric and cable/internet.

  • Trulia User
"Not safe for kids to be outside by themselves. Lots of shootings recently and cars go too fast down most roads. Public school in this area is not so great"
  • Trulia User
"Not safe for kids after dark to walk around or play without close supervision. Same is true for public spaces. "

"I would not suggest the U Street Corridor for families, especially in which the children are very young. While it is bustling and has many urban amenities, the neighborhood might be difficult to navigate or live in with young children."
