"con: average proximity to parks and green areas is big. pro: dog-owners community takes care of collecting poops so you can be safe while walking around. "

"People walk their dogs all the time. No off leash area though. Would be nice for there to be more green space with a dog park "

"This neighborhood is unique for me because it has everything I need within walking distance. A grocery store, drug store, and restaurants are all within 0.1 to 0.5 miles."

"I don’t mind living in the CBD but I’d rather a neighborhood. This is only temporary so I’m ok with it. There is always something to do and you can walk almost anywhere. "

"There is always something to do around here. You are in the middle of Everything. Where I live unfortunately, there are homeless ppl around. But they don’t mess with you. I’m in an apartment building in the heart of the CBD. It is temporary... good thing because I’ve been partying a little too much haha. "

"During the week the bus runs frequently. On the weekends not so much but if you plan ahead it’s ok. "
- Toni B.

"I live in a high rise apartment building. Not your “normal” neighborhood feeling. The streets are maintained, clean and great in the day time. Nights have a much different feeling. Better than some other local neighborhoods, but can get noisy and feel less safe."
- Stephargue

"Extremely accessible to everything. Location is in the center of all parades. The convention center and the dome are nearby for every concert or games."

"None that I know about too busy for me and too many people tourists music in the park is really good and the bbq blue fest in the park is nice "
- Jahia M.

"Living in the CBD is pretty great. I love the convenience. You are surrounded by restaurants and shopping, you are close to the French Quarter and the river front. Pretty much everything you need is within walking distance and since it’s centrally located the rest of the city is a quick drive or street car trip away. My biggest issue is feeling safe at night. There are a lot of homeless and street people in the area. Typical downtown environment in that regard. I wish there was more outreach for them. "
- Doris L.
- Resident

"There is a lot of litter on the streets to include chicken bones that are dangerous for dogs or other scrap foods. The owners need to be attentive to things on the floor and not get wrapped up with conversations with people they walk with. "
- Doris L.

"I drive to Belle Chasse across the River. It’s quieter in the mornings at 7am. The ramp I enter on is very close to the exit right ahead so cars often block your entrance to the highway because everyone is trying to get off at the next exit but no one wants to form a space where the intersection X is. "

"Loved living in the CBD. Though I had two cars I still biked to most everything I went to do. There’s plenty to do and you can easily and safely bike to most everything even the French quarter, lower garden district (Magazine st). plenty of restaurants and shopping close by even nightlife and casinos. Hotels close for out of town guests and storage facilities for extra belongings. The best part is having easy access to the major highways to get around town by car or out of the city easily. Parades come through but not often enough to case problems. In my opinion the safest area of Nola to live. Worth the extra rental cost to me as it seems to be a little higher to rent or buy in this area. You save money in many other ways to make up for it and you can’t put a price on safety which is quite a big deal in Nola. "

"This city is a tourist trash heap and if you live here you do it at your own risk. The majority of the city is crime infested and the areas that aren't cost more than most can afford. do give me the "fell in love with the culture" garbage. the culture is violence and corruption. if it wasn't for my job obligations I would be far away. "

"I have had a few different jobs that were all within walking distance of my apartment. Grocery, restaurants and lots of entertainment are either within walking distance or a short Uber/Lyft ride away "

"There are side walks but hard to find grassy areas for potty stops. There are plenty other dogs but be careful for glass/other things on ground occasionally for sneaky dogs to get into or step on! "

"I travel too far from where I live here in the central business Districk. My wife works about 20 minutes away from here and we usually don’t run into traffic until the afternoon on our commute home"
- D_rews
