This school is horrible not safe.This school has a group of kids running around threatening and beating kids up like its a gang territory.The school is not safe multiple fights last at least a minute and the adults do nothing but watch the kids get beat.The discipline is horrible they let these kids get right back into the school.I am a victim of harassment.They cornered and threatened me and when me and my mom went and reported it to the school the school didn’t do nothing and tried to instead frame me for calling them cuss words when I didn’t do anything like that.Also, a few weeks later they brutally beat a kid with multiple people while adults just watched.They did this in a public hallway with a bunch of kids and adults in front of the media center.The school suspended the kids for a week but they are back acting like nothing happened because nothing really happened and they wasn’t effected in any real way cuz they don’t care bout they education.The school don’t make any real effort to make them care either they basically gave up on them kids.This school is horrible and I hate it I wanna transfer not safe don’t send your kid unless you want to put them under threat in a unsafe place.

This school now feels like it’s running on autopilot. The spark that once made it feel nurturing and forward-thinking has dimmed significantly, largely due to administrative stagnation. Although the brochures boast a progressive approach, the reality paints a much different picture. From a parent's lens—especially one with multiple kids enrolled—it’s disheartening to witness this decline. Leadership seems disengaged, with minimal visibility or meaningful interaction in day-to-day student life. There’s a growing disconnect between what’s communicated publicly and what’s actually happening within the classrooms. Families deserve transparency and a leadership team genuinely invested in evolving the school’s culture and educational standards.

This school is the greatest school in district 54, and Emmet makes this school the best school in the country.

I attended MacArthur when they changed the name and the mascot. I would say the teachers did a wonderful job of teaching and being in the dual program I definitely learned so much. However, most of my teachers were extremely mean and really should not have been teaching elementary school. I was a very quiet kid and I did not know too much English when I was in kindergarten and 1st grade. I remember being screamed at for not following directions. My teacher told my mom I misbehaved all the time and I was very bad in class. (I had never been written up & I always had my name on green in the traffic light) if I were truly a bad kid I would’ve had warnings all the time or gotten calls home. The teacher I had 1st & 2nd grade was the same one. She really made me not look forward going to school. She definitely had favorites, it was super clear how she took advantage of her authority even with other students.
