"I’ve only been here for three months and I’m just now starting to work. My opinion is immature at this time but I hope with some actual living experience I’ll come to have a fair judgement for this particular area."
  • Gina Savani
"The traffic is heavy especially through construction areas. The roads are poorly maintained. The commute is frustrating."
  • Shelby Strickley
"I’ve grown up, 3rd generation to own this house and I know it was safe for me when I was twelve to walk about and it’s safe now "
  • Byrds Eye View
"In this neighborhood animals are very much welcome and everyone seems to have a critter of their own. Very dog friendly community. "
  • Gina Savani
"There are not any dog parks, but there is a river trail and tons of dogs being walked at all times. "
  • 79kfzn4gq4
"It’s quiet safe and a great school district. I enjoy going on walks in my neighborhood. There are plenty of grocery stores to choose from. Something I’ve learned since having kids is the neighborhood I live in specifically gets together for a parade on Fourth of July. Can’t ask for a better community. I don’t plan on moving anytime soon but I love to look and see what’s available in the neighborhood for family and friends. "
  • Ashleigh Willits
"You can walk your dog in the neighborhood or go to the park next door to walk your dog. There’s also a dog park down the street for you fur baby to run around in. "
  • Anthonydeshonward
"Everything is in close proximity driving wise. Not like Elk Grove or Roseville which is more spaced out."
  • Thatiane Rastrero
"There is a lot of homeless people around the Arden area particularly off Hurley and Fulton area they don’t seem to cause trouble it’s just hard to explain to family why some guy is sleeping on the sidewalks in front of your house "
  • Ashleigh Willits
"There are no community events that make my neighborhood special as far as I know. I have lived here for a while now. "
  • Trulia User
"There’s always traffic so you never feel alone. There’s lots of places to eat. Sacramento is a big city so this area wouldn’t be the best place to raise a kid. I like quieter neighborhoods. I do agree that there are a bunch of river access points and parks around here, which is awesome and there are plenty of dog parks."
  • Trulia User
"Close to the American River, CSUS, a lot of high school sports and close to downtown. Great spot to raise a family and still somewhat affordable. "
  • Trulia User
"The commute is fine, it’s central enough to have fairly quick access to many places in the area. I drive and do not take public transportation, but it seems like there are many bus options nearby. "
  • Trulia User
"not a good neighborhood. high crime rates. dirty area. a lot of attention needed for this area. this area needs a lot of attention"
  • Trulia User
"not a good place either to live in and or visit. be very careful when passing out this area. be careful with you and your family. schools are not in good ratings. neighborhood is not safe, poverty and insecurities all around you gotta be very careful man. "
  • Kayla W.
"I’m not a fan of this neighborhood. I live on a loud street and there’s people screaming at night. It’s not that safe "
  • Ben F.
"There are a couple great schools and parks in the area. The young sports community is very active. My one criticism is the lack of bike lanes on the roads"
  • Ben F.
"The neighborhoods in Arden arcade are quite different from each other. where I live, there are dozens of dog and non-dog walkers every day that are walking both in the morning, afternoon and early evening"
  • Rodney A.
"nice place to live great neighborhood. parks, shoppin g, schools. very nice place to live. I am ver"
  • Vanessa L.
"Very calm streets within the neighborhood to walk dogs. Multiple park options within walking distance. "
  • Rodney A.
"Local parks are active, great olace for friends and family on weekends. State Fair is in the neighborhood activities year round.."
  • Mara I.
"Lots of parks that are dog friendly, but it’s also big traffic area so gated yard is the safest choice."
  • Rodney A.
"Like: close to two parks, dog friendly off tje major streets. dislike: Close to major streets with traffic. "
  • Leilani M.
"very active community, stores, arden mall and restaurants all around. but the devious homeless make it scary."
  • Ben T.
"best thing about Arden is freeway access...other than that.. it's dirty and is a great place form the homeless to congregate"
  • Spencer S.
"Parades, bars, concerts, State Fair, fireworks, Halloween, local school events, Sac State games all make the community feel special. "
  • Renee A.
"People generally care for one another in this neighborhood. They have welcomed my family with gestures and kindness. It isn’t super diverse which would be my only”con” about living here. "
  • Mandi L.
"in the two years we’ve been here we’ve had no issues and really enjoyed making our house a home. our daughter loves her school and we enjoy the silence. "
  • Elaine J.
"Depending on the block, there may be drug dealing or prostitutes operating on the streets, approaching cars."
  • Shelby S.
"Close to everything and friendly people. Some traffic but not too bad. Lots of parks and food places"
  • Malena
"All my neighbors take pride in their front landscape, and we have lots “block” yard sales .. there are lots of children as well as home owners that have been here for many many years....and there is A community park and pool within walking distance."
  • Ally M.
"They have a great 4th of July parade. Quality of homes, neighbors and schools vary street by street. Homelessness is everywhere."
  • Viangkaeo L.
"The commute is not bad. I commute from here to Carmichael for work and it only takes me about 20 minutes in the morning. "
  • Teternity25
"great access to everything most options are with in a few block radius restaurants, bars, shopping, the arden 2story mall.the only thing I dont like is they shut down our local Walmart and moved it to bigger facility 8miles away .not as close as it use to be "
  • Jeffrey A. .
"We have a great local park system, mission oaks parks and recreation, lots of activities put on by them, The area is maintaining its dignity for the most part.. we’ve seen a bit more bad come to the area.. but luckily their mainly passing through the area, their not residents. Still a good area to live."
  • 2117kgarcia85009
"I drove to and from in my vehicle. I see a lot of public transportation in this area . There are plenty of bus lines that take you to the light rail stations. "
  • Heather N.
"Nothing really, it’s just home. I’ve always lived here and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else! It’s got good parts and bad parts just like everywhere else. My best and worst of times..... "
  • Judy G.
"great school district plenty of shopping. alls, stores, gas stations, and restaurants in this arden/arcade area."
  • Herlin G.
"The neighbors are great and they take care of their homes. Everyone appears to be friendly and at the same time private. The homes are well taken care of for their age. "
  • Heather P.
"Neighborhood is nice, more construction is making the area nicer. I’ve lived here for about 5 years and it’s improved little by little each year."
