The city has a lake for fishing and brief hiking. The lake is well maintained and hosts a Christmas light display each year. The are two fairly young pediatricians in the city and a few family practices. There are many churches in the area. School and city recreational fields are well maintained. The city school has a very strong career technical center that prepares students for job entry or entrance into highly technical career programs. "
