Description

Have the entire house to yourself for most of the month!

Private Master bedroom for lease in a fully furnished home in Eagle River, Alaska on a private lot with extensive parking and yard space. There are two good sized bedrooms in the home. The master bedroom comes with one queen sized memory foam bed, a dresser, a sitting chair, two end tables, and a closet for storing belongings in. The second bedroom will be *occasionally* occupied by the owner as-needed for being at the home for business, so majority of lease time there would not be another roommate in the home.

There is a fully functional, stocked kitchen, equipped with a variety of organic spices and cooking supplies. The full-sized oven and stove top is natural gas, and comes with a variety of settings (bake, air fry, dehydrate, broil, etc.). No need to wash dishes by hand, as there is a full-sized dishwasher. The full-sized refrigerator also has two ice machine options, one for small regular cubes, and one for large ice balls for mixed drinks.

The living room features a large L-shaped couch, a large TV with a DVD/Blu Ray Player, WiFi, streaming capabilities, and hundreds of movies to choose from. The living room bookshelves are also lined with local Alaskan foraging books, Alaskan history, cookbooks, non-fiction, kids books, and family games.

The bathroom features dual headed shower heads for tandem showers, or if you are wanting to have a surround-shower experience. Two sinks are present in the bathroom, a full tub, toilet, reading material, first aid kit, and medicine cabinet.

The utility room offers the usage of a washer/dryer and a folding table to make laundry easier. In this room you will also find the electrical breaker, vacuum, and spare cleaning supplies.

The use of the attached shop is off-limits, unless the owner is on-site at the time and usage is pre-approved. The unlimited usage of the front yard and parking area is allowed, so long as the garage door is not blocked, and our plowing service is able to properly remove snow from the property. The usage of the back lot of the property is not allowed unless the owner is on-site.

The lease for this master bedroom is month-to-month with a refundable security deposit required up front. Ideally we are looking for a single-occupancy female OR female + male couple OK upon approval. Roommate would cover gas utility only (as it is cheapest) and runs between $40-300 per month depending on how much cooking you do, how hot your showers are, how much laundry you do, the temperature that you keep the home at inside, and the temperature of Alaska outside :). All utilities will remain in the owners name, and are currently covered by the owner, but roommate is welcome to look at the utility bills if they want the official data. There can be a dedicated parking space for one or two vehicles that you have, but we ask that you do not block the garage door since we have a very thorough plowing service completed on the property after every major snow fall. There is a keyless entry lock that is on the front door that can be programmed to give you an e-badge that will link to your phone to be used as your "key" (a number code can also be provided to you).

As the lease is month-to-month, we request that you are open about the timeframe in which you believe you will need to stay for. We request that you give us 30 days notice in writing of when you will be moving out (text or email is fine) so that we can have ample time to list the space for the following month. You are welcome to hang pictures on the wall or paint the room that you are staying in, so long as you choose tasteful colors and it does not damage the new carpet in the room. No smoking is allowed in the home, but if you or anyone has the need to smoke, we request that you step outside. Smoking inside of the home will result in a forfeiting of your security deposit.

"There are plenty of places to walk with paths and parks around the area. At least the park where the Bear Paw is held has poop bags already there, which makes it a nice place with a wide area to take your pup. "
  • Robert Ancheta
"Local church holds events for holidays, fireworks for Independence Day and New Year’s at the local school, Bear Paw festival all without having to go over to Anchorage. "
  • Laura Southwell
"The roads are ROUGH in the winter! People say it’s well maintained, but the road gets VERY narrow, and there is so much snow sometimes the plows won’t get to the side streets until well after 10am. Good luck getting to work! You definitely need 4wd and good winter tires or studs!"
  • Trulia User
"It’s great for dog walking. Great sidewalks and trails, and most people pick up after their dogs. "
  • Trulia User
