9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe School itself is very nice as well as most of the faculty. For the most part each teacher wants you to succeed. The Faculty is always there to help you or talk to you. The Student body is very large and all eat lunch together which results in many problems and bullying. Overall, Hurricane is a great school.Other Review7y ago - Hurricane Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI agree with the parent who gave the school 1 star. There are exceptional teachers at this school, however there are others who are just going through the motions. My child has been demeaned by a teacher and has heard other students demeaned by the same and other teachers. My student has a teacher who loses student's work on her extremely messy desk and rolls around the room in her chair to teach. This same teacher mispronounces common words and grades my child's accurate homework as incorrect. The parking and drop off at the school is probably the worst I have ever seen. Dangerous to the students and a huge time delay to the community.Parent Review11y ago - Mountain View Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageExcellent school! We have had 5 children attend MVE and currently have two attending. We have had multiple administrator in our many years and the current two principals are hands down the best. They both have an open door policy and have worked with us to resolve a few issues already. Our teachers are caring and the support staff has always been welcoming. We are excited to be able to come back into the school for various events since the pandemic.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 19 Christopher Dr.

"The city always has something going for kids. The city has a reservoir that is stocked for good fishing and has a park there with baseball fields, basketball courts, a play ground for kids and a spray park. There is also a city park that has baseball and softball fields, soccer fields, hiking trails, two lakes for fishing, a picnic shelter, dog park, and a community center that includes a small shopping where you can go the ice cream shop and food court. In the summer time the show movies on a big screen where you bring your own chairs. Movie nights are free except for the food trucks and ice cream. The city of Hurricane is always hosting events on historic Main Street. The schools here are some of the better schools in the state. "
