Posted by a community member on 12/12/2016My children have been in several different High schools in different states and districts, Ive found Hurricane to be decent although I disagree with the policies concerning transfer credits. I am satisfied with the overall curriculum. My children love the class scheduling.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went here for Kindergarten and was in the "special needs/autism room" due to some behavioral issues. The "autism" teacher acted like she had never dealt with a child on the spectrum. She was inept at her job at best and abusive at worst. The principal was not any better. They said "she needs to learn to control herself" or "she will have to go to another school." She is on the spectrum, and for them to say "she needs to learn or else" is absolutely unacceptable. The principle is extremely involved in everything, she remembers all the students names…which is crazy because that’s a lot of students! The teachers all take there jobs very seriously and make sure every child gets the best of the best education! The school goes the extra mile to make sure your child if they need it gets therapies that they need. This school is great with making sure no kids get bullied and everyone is treated fairly, which to me is as extremely important!
