5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a hidden gem. I have had children at this school for about five years now. The teachers and staff are knowledgeable, caring, and dedicated to the success of all the students. Class sizes are relatively small, and the campus has a family-like feel. Don't be scared off by the exterior, this school is a wonderful place of learning and growth. They also offer fabulous after school programs that are free such as athletics, robotics, Lego engineering, yoga and crafts, sensory, gardening, theatre and many others. With an active PTO, there are many fun events for the families throughout the year such as a Beach Bash, a Fall Festival, movie nights, dances and more! My children have been in the 90/10 Spanish Dual Immersion program at the school and their academic growth is truly impressive. Students love the VAPA program at Valle Lindo, which includes music, art and theatre biweekly. Though the buildings are older, the campus is well-kept and orderly. The only major thing lacking is a remodel or rebuild of the school, which has been promised by the district for many years. Unlike many of the newer and bigger schools, drop off and pick up is pretty quick and simple. It's located right off the 805, so it's very convenient for us working parents. I have been very happy with this little school and have no hesitation recommending it.Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near 1861 Nirvana Ave.

"Presently live in old Chula Vista for the past 2 yrs and Lived in Eastlake for 6 yrs about 20 yrs ago. I feel safe where I'm at for the most part but, felt safer in Eastlake. Chula Vista overall has a somewhat negative reputation but that's not even close to the truth. It's a safe friendly neighborhood/City."

"I have no children and have no idea how the schools rank in scholastic achievement. It’s my guess that the high Asian and Hispanic population brings that score above average. I see kids playing only occasionally"
