"I don’t really want to answer this portion of the questionnaire but appreciate that you’re taking this survey. "
  • Trulia User
"Alot of people own dogs and walk dogs around this area. There are nice parks where dogs can walk, run, and play. "
  • Trulia User
"There are lots of Parks and lots of dogs. No fenced dog park areas which would Be nice. It’s very green. "
  • Trulia User
"I wouldn't call Riverside a "family" based side of town. It certainly can sire a family, but I wouldn't recommend the public schools here for kids. It's getting very crowded in Riverside, and I've lived here for over 20 years. However, if you're a young couple starting out, or in college with roomies, then it's very inviting, the night life is nice, plenty of hot spots, restaurants, shopping, live music etc. This side of town is for rich folk who's kids have moved out, or for young adults."
  • Trulia User
"Sidewalks almost everywhere. People are generally responsible about their dogs. Very few strays or loose dogs. People are concerned if they do appear. Lots of parks and green space. "
  • Trulia User
"An historic ‘traditional’ neighborhood with an eclectic mix of architecture, single family and multiple family residences, parks, restaurants and shopping. A mix of socioeconomic and demographic groups create a diverse community. Lots of pets, festivals, markets and neighborhood events. "
  • Trulia User
"I’ve lived in Riverside Avondale Historic District for over 20 years. I love the architecture and history of the area, the neighbors, the walkability, having grocery, dining, boutiques within walking distance. I love the parks, the River, and being able to walk my dogs and interact with neighbors. It’s a great place to live! "
  • Baggettm
"I use to work in this area for many years. i love the river. The atmosphere is amazing. I love that there are so many parks in the area that my dog and I can spend time together."
  • Jeannemarie
"A fantastic place to live, work and play full of eclectic shoppes, great food and diverse architecture. "
  • Dwarren2514

  • Kyle M.
"Great neighborhood with a nice sense of community. "

"The neighborhood feels safe. Kids can play on the streets too. Lots of ppl go jogging or ride their bikes or walk around. Nearby parks are well maintained. "
  • Sophia R.
"The arts market is always fun. There’s is a porchfest that happens every year for a couple years now. Wide array of venues for concerts and the nightlife isn’t bad either."
  • Jeannemarie
"Christmas luminaries is a special time as well as the home tour. Parks are lively on the weekend and sometimes there are movies in the summer "
  • Cathy S.
"The luminary at Christmas is wonderful and family friendly. Lots of porch parties where neighbors can drop by and enjoy the festivities as well. "
  • Chelsea M. B.
"It has easy access to most areas of town. I'm in the center between family, friends, downtown, and work."
  • Robert E. S.
"I lived here 25 years ago and am drawn to move back. Trees and old buildings are the lure. Now many more shops and restaurants."
  • Alyssa M.
"we have block parties for major holidays and events, lots of parks, tons of local businesses, a big art community, river access"
  • Julia G. R.
"There are many parks, a library, ice cream and other restaurants that are kid-friendly. The neighborhood is full of sidewalks, which enable exploration by foot or bike or scooter. There aren’t many quiet streets to let kids ride bikes freely, but you can find some less busy, more protected streets if you look around. "
  • Jessica S.
"Up and coming area, aka gentrification is happening at an increasing rate, but still a lot of violent crimes occur. Most crimes are petty theft or general vandalism."
  • Flsummergirl
"Car needed, my drive to work is fifteen minutes long. Fuller Warren bridge can get backed up during rush hour."
  • Mylenewatson
"Riverside is a nice homey place where I also raised my two boys. I miss that place. Riverside is where my heart is"
  • Sean W.
"Diverse and friendly neighborhood with lots of cool bars and restaurants. Very close to downtown and employment."
  • Mylenewatson
"Hometown feeling. I love it. People look out for each other. I would love to go back and live here. "
  • Roosterfrg
"Art’s market is nice on Saturday’s, we have a dog park , the local restaurants have special things like trivia night and wine tasting. "

"The commute to downtown can be bad at peak times, but is very manageable if you can shift your schedule a little earlier or later. Finding alternate routes also helps quite a lot. "
  • Kelsey.rozman
"Riverside arts market on Saturday’s, local runs, live music always, everything walking distance, safe at night "

"Dogs are welcome at many establishments. I bring my babies with me almost weekly when we go shopping or out to eat. We have many parks for the pups to play in and a dedicated dog park in the neighborhood. We also have several pet boutiques and upscale grooming and daycare facilities. "
  • Carol B.
"There are many parks in our wonderful neighborhood. We also have many activities and festivals within walking distance. I love that you don’t have to drive everywhere, just take a short walk to the grocery, ice cream, or pizza place. This neighborhood has it all. "
  • Percykingjd
"I've lived in the neighborhood for a few months and like it so far. However, the street noise is a little bit much as people drive fast at night and it's often difficult to pull out of my parking space."
  • Wanda C.
"Walkable and lifestyle. You never have to leave the,are a unless you choose to. Absolutely everything is here. Great for walking and biking!"
