Large bay windows provide spectacular views of surrounding mountains. Conveniently located in a cul-de-sac within the Parkview Terrace Subdivision; only minutes from shopping, but even closer to Chugach State Park's wilderness with ample wildlife, expansive backcountry trails, and scenic vistas. Cross-country ski on established trails or make your own path along the Eagle River. Yards are manicured with beautiful landscaping, raised flower beds, fruit trees, and ample gardening space. Its back yard is completely surrounded with a 6' high privacy fence. The kitchen and upstairs bathrooms were remodeled in April 2021 (poorly pictured, but look great!), and the kitchen and dining room are open to one another with a brand-new deck off the dining room. It has a heated, two car garage with a workbench and extensive cabinetry, providing plenty of extra storage. Its second driveway is perfect for a motor home, boat, trailer, etc., and there are no neighborhood association fees. This is a trouble-free home with fresh interior and exterior paint; energy efficient upgrades including a 98.5% efficient furnace; custom bathroom cabinet and shower, and a new roof. It's located within the Alpenglow Elementary School District (highest rated elementary school in Eagle River), Gruening Middle School, and Eagle River High School, which received a silver rating from US News and World Report as one of America's best high schools. Its location provides easy access to the Glenn Highway from a quiet, secluded neighborhood, and the cul-de-sac and protected yards provide safe areas for young children. It's 7 minutes from the Fort Richardson Gate and 12 minutes from the Elmendorf main gate.

"There are plenty of places to walk with paths and parks around the area. At least the park where the Bear Paw is held has poop bags already there, which makes it a nice place with a wide area to take your pup. "
  • Robert Ancheta
"Local church holds events for holidays, fireworks for Independence Day and New Year’s at the local school, Bear Paw festival all without having to go over to Anchorage. "
  • Laura Southwell
"The roads are ROUGH in the winter! People say it’s well maintained, but the road gets VERY narrow, and there is so much snow sometimes the plows won’t get to the side streets until well after 10am. Good luck getting to work! You definitely need 4wd and good winter tires or studs!"
  • Trulia User
"It’s great for dog walking. Great sidewalks and trails, and most people pick up after their dogs. "
  • Trulia User

"Occasional traffic, most in winter. About 30 - 45 minutes to Anchorage depending weather. 4WD or AWD recommended for winter. Commute north to Palmer / Wasilla is longer distance wise— but is reverse traffic so not too bad."
