9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe subjects are good, good community, the only problem is that your yearly experience is HEAVILY dependent on the teachers you get. My apush teacher only talks about himself and I just know I'm failing the AP test because of it. School lunch is good, Campus is great, I never find myself being late to classes, but the hall monitors can be a little strange at times. Gender neutral bathrooms are required to have the doors open at all times, which i'm pretty sure is to prevent vaping but it's kinda like really discriminatory towards gender non-conforming students. Overall really good school, I feel like I was kind of negative towards it but i've genuinely enjoyed my time here.Student Review2mo ago - Edison Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family is super grateful for Edison. Two of my kids have attended and one is now in middle school. Having worked at schools in East Bay schools myself I appreciate the warmth, consistency, and academics that this school provides. It requires a lot of parents giving a lot of time and money, so if you can help out in any way, that will make your experience better. I hope the school culture continues to grow in its inclusion and cultural humility. In general, I have met a lot of very kind and generous families.Parent Review8mo ago - Lincoln Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall this school is better than the majority of the middle schools in the bay area. I appreciate the amount of options for different electives that generally help like learning languages and different skills. The Pe teachers do a great job teaching each seasonal sport with tactics that will help students in the future. What i do NOT like about this school is the amount of unnecessary rules that are set. The Lms staff and principals are not very good at tolerating with kids behavior and don’t take some situations seriously or wont hear a student out in a situation when they get in any sort of trouble. It is very rare for any sort of physical fight to go down in this school which says a lot about promoting the safety in Lincoln Middle. They promote equality by making school clubs for every race, gender, and religion, but i notice that there is a majority of just white students and asian students. As a former student that currently goes to lincoln, there is definitely lots of name callings, social media posts, and rumors that go around about people. But the Lincoln middle school staff does its best to prevent it by educating people in our weekly leadership advisories. Overall i can generally recommend this school to any student who is moving to alameda/thinking about a change of schools.Student Review2mo ago - Check out schools near 1820 Pearl St.

"The bus is always running late or early but if you have their app it is very manageble. Around 5 minute walk to get to the park, 5-20 minutes to the nearest store, and very close to reasturants only a mile."

"Fernside Blvd is a high traffic street so you must monitor young kids when they are playing outside."

"Very small town feel. Lots of friendly people always walking around and kids riding bikes. Close walking distance to transportation, schools, restaurants, movie theater, and most stores and services that you would need. "

"This part of Alameda's East End is superb for those who like to walk instead of driving to all of the daily stops like shopping, eating out, dropping the kids off to elementary school. The neighborhood has homeowners and renters of all ages who are community minded and look out for one another. And we can't forget about the incredible architecture found all over Alameda either. Homes date back to the late 1800's and feature some of the most beautiful charming details you will ever see in a home. "
