"I’ve lived in Santa Monica my whole life. There’s still a small sense of community in certain areas of SM. And most people are really nice and friendly "

"Very difficult commute in the afternoon, if you live here, you should work close by or be ready to spend time in the car (30 minutes for Beverly Hills and 45 to 60 minutes for downtown LA) each way"

"It’s LOUD and unsafe. Used to be much better- but the area by the Sea Castle apartments/ pier is the worst. Tons of homeless/ junkies... several stabbing recently and vagrants. The beach there isn’t that nice- it’s not worth it. I’m leaving."

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for years now and it’s always been good here. The rent is going up; and its too much for what one can afford. There has been a few skirmishes with homeless; but in the past 2 years its been managed very well. Neighborhood is always pleasant. "
