5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school has excellent leadership & teaching staff. I've seen a great deal of improvement in my son's reading ability plus the have a solid instrumental program. The school principal is by far the best I've seen in the two districts my son has attendedParent Review10y ago1 Reviews - Pittsburgh Beechwood K-5

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDONT SEND UR CHILD HERE. My daughter was bullied and the teacher, principal and social worker did absolutely nothing to protect her or stop the bullying from continuing. They even avoided me at all costs and refused to meet with me or tell the other parent of the bully what was going on. My daughter attended from K-4 and since nothing was ever resolved or addressed, I had to transfer schools since my daughter was severely depressed and anxious going here on a daily basis. All I can say is that if your child is shy, introverted, or a potential target in anyway to bullies, good luck! Because the staff DO NOT CARE AT ALL about the safety or well being of ur child. Now my daughter is in a new school and thriving. I will never ever EVER recommend this school to anybody I meet EVERParent Review1y ago7 Reviews - Pittsburgh Dilworth K-5

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is phenomenal. We are so fortunate to go here. Our daughter loves school, has made wonderful friends. From the first week the teachers all seem to know every child by name. Students are greeted each morning with an all-school assembly with drumming, singing, a welcome message by the Principal, and the school rock band rocking out. Its a fantastic way to start the day! There are tons of field trips, lots of art and music incorporated into each day. We love it here!Parent Review8y ago5 Reviews - Pittsburgh South Hills 6-8

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSome teachers are great. But there are a few teachers that I cannot understand as to why they have choose to teach. Some are rude when you ask for help and do not support the children in a positive way. There are fights and some teachers or staff just stand there and watch. I know because I have seen several videos posted on Facebook before the restriction of cellphones.Parent Review10y ago3 Reviews - Pittsburgh Brashear High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI overall had a horrible experience at brashear high school, before I get into it I wanna say that the nice thing about this place is most of the teachers, they were really nice and a lot of them were funny and engaging, aside from that the counselors are horrible, I was battling anxiety and depression my entire time there with little to no help, I was dismissed multiple times when I tried to explain I needed changes in my learning environment and eventually the counselors just seemed to completely ignore me, I felt extremely unsafe the entire time because I was expected to perform the same as all the other students while I was mentally and psychically (due to lack of sleep) disadvantaged. that's all I can really say about this school, im honestly disgusted and my life really hasn't gotten any better, I still struggle every day and my relationship with my parents was ruined because of what the counselors told them...if it weren't for the nice teachers i would rate this zeroStudent Review1mo ago4 Reviews - Pittsburgh Science And Technology Academy 6-12

"This neighborhood is pretty diverse. Lots of pizza shops nearby. New business popping up here and there. We all seem to look out for each other for the most part. Watch out for the alligators!"

"Convenient being close to everything but outside of the thick of it. I’ve lived here for 10 years and I love it. A very livable place but lacking a solid school district. The elementary school is great but that’s about as far as it gets."

"Trying to be the next up and coming spot , so close to the city. We have a new paleteria and a Caribbean Restaurant named Musa. Our local IGA is family owned and operated. Very walkable town if you don’t mind the extra exercise on the hills, "

"Very safe, quiet, kid and pet friendly neighborhood that is close to the T, buses, and has easy access to downtown Pittsburgh. Beechview is definitely the best up and coming neighborhood near Pittsburgh that is still affordable. There are lots of great restaurants and shops nearby. I love it here! "
