2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe must disappointed I have been with a school. The principal is so rude and only cares about the number of students not care about their staff. The students curse out the staff and the principal does not care. Very very disappointed. If the principal is reading this if you quit it will make many happy :) you deserve no respect you should be fired.Other Review1y ago - Clay Intermediate Center

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA terrible school for even worse people. The experience is absolutely horrendous. I'm currently in 7th grade at the moment and this school is trash. Especially the older students'(7th-8th grade) behavior and bullying problems. To go more in depth, I have a bff who's transgender( go search up this term if you're unaware of it) and he's constantly getting bullied about it. The spinless teachers do absolutely nothing about this however, as they just let him get bullied and say nothing. This school is supposed to be supportive and protective of LGBT students and yet with me and my bff's experiences thus far, the students and teachers don't care for queer people. Another thing, since the teachers don't do anything about my friend's bullying, he is always unfairly in trouble and when I try to step in and help, they won't let me. They also called me and him a ton of offensive slurs and mean words that are but not limited to:Student Review1y ago - Darden Primary Center

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt is an amazing school, however anything above 4th grade, I have had to resort to home schooling due to bully issues and the SBCSC or the schools inability to correct issues, I have a older daughter that attended darden primary as well and she excelled very well there, my hat goes off to you, and I hope other schools will use your school to set a standard to follow!Parent Review6y ago - Kennedy Primary Academy

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI, as a former LaSalle Academy student, have undergone the hard work and restless nights myself. Every year they exposed you to new, never before seen material. Students have a tendency to complain about the teachers, in all reality those teachers just weren't the type to let you mess around the whole class. Few people know the stress that any teacher or faculty member of a school undergoes, and let me tell you all the teachers handle very well. Fifth grade with Mr. Marosz and Mrs. Lotridge was a blast, learning and having fun couldn't have been better. They made one awesome team. Sixth grade with Mrs. Neighbor and Mrs. Brandt were magnificent, I even learned how to knit. Band was always a blast, pushing you to your full potential. Mr. Bennett, Mrs. Amato, Mrs. Nalepinski, and Mrs. Albright all were beyond amazing for seventh grade. They really pushed me and helped me learn! Eighth grade has to be the greatest year I had. We won the blue ribbon award, I gave a speech, I was taught how to write research papers. Mr. Eller I have to say is one of the greatest teachers ANYONE will ever encounter, along with Mrs. Sipes, Mrs. Martinez, Mrs. Baumgartner, and Mr. Chan. -Lion Pride(:Other Review10y ago - Rise Up Academy At Eggleston

"Quiet, scenic, almost country-ish., but just north of N.D. Campus, plus 3 more colleges. Tawny Lake is a hideaway that's unknown, even to most local people. "

"Live in Georgetown. Work in area. Pleasant, quiet, near everything. Scenic. Just north of Notre Dame. Near several colleges."

"Tawny Lake is just north of Notre Dame, but in a quiet, woodsy location; in fact, many people have no idea it's here..with it's fishing , boating, swimming...but it's near colleges, restaurants, shopping malls, including University Park Mall and all it's satellite malls. It's quiet, scenic..everything you could want!"
- Mary s.
- 10y ago
"A great place to live! Very close to Notre Dame, St. Mary;s, etc., but a hideaway most people haven't discovered. Tawny Lake is a spring-fed private fishing lake surrounded by beautiful, but moderately-priced villas. It's a very quiet area, but near everything!"
- Mary s.
- 11y ago
"Convenient to everything in the Michiana area, yet quiet and pleasant. Several colleges (incl. Notre Dame), within10-15 min. drive, new library, churches, restaurants, huge mall and many new , smaller malls. Civic Theatre and others; top dance groups. Visit farm country and Amish destinations. Exciting developments with South Bend and Notre Dame....in nano research, data storage, etc. South Bend is developing into a science and research center,..downtown is getting better all the time. Many parks, near Lake Michigan. Silver Hawks baseball team often sends members to majors, and...we're near Chicago. What more could you want?"
