About this House

We are heading overseas next year for work so our beloved house in Austin's most desirable centrally located neighborhood will be empty. We live on a unique, quiet, culdesac street that overlooks downtown Austin--doesn't get any better. Walkable to all of downtown Austin. Our house was expertly remodeled by a noted architecture firm and is outfitted with all the latest tech and gadgets. Family and pet-friendly home. Includes Peloton and Bowflex gym equipment and steam shower in the master bath.

Pet friendly--live right next to Pease Park! Family preferred. No smoking. Quiet neighborhood/enclave in downtown Austin. Not a party house. Tenants pay all bills--everything will be a pass-through. Also, no drama. We love our house and will only rent to someone who we vet.

  • Kay A.

  • Yuxi L.
"Downtown Austin is a mix of small-town feel with big-town attractions. We love our local establishments. It's easy to walk around, with green spaces scattered all over. And local bands play every week. We have new buildings constantly going up and festivals happening all year round. The downtown scene is changing dramatically, bringing in new concepts next to old standbys."
  • Heather M.
"Everything I need is within walking distance, and there's plenty to do."
  • Anna D.
"It is very walkable—urban mixed with nature. It is very convenient to get in and out of."

"New and trendy restaurants and bars are everywhere. The hike and bike trail along the lake is great. Plenty of things to do, no matter what mood you're in."
  • Amy C.
"Downtown is where everything happens. It's a nice balance of culture, music, and business—as well as government. The University of Texas is also just north of downtown, so that adds another dimension to this area."
  • Matt C.
"Downtown is busy and getting busier as more and more companies move here. Downtown does have good access to get north, south, east, and west. Traffic is pretty normal for a big city with 1 million + people. I moved here from California, and Austin is still better than that (SF area, LA area, San Diego, etc.)."
  • John B.
"Easy if you are going north on I-35 in the morning. Coming into downtown at 5 pm, forget about it, not happening."
  • Heather M.
"Traffic can be bad, but I work only about 25 blocks from my home so I have it easy."
  • Jordan H.
"Very easy. As long as there isn't construction, everything is smooth."
  • Heather M.
"There's plenty for kids to do, including lots of action at the new downtown library and the skate park."
  • Ben E.
"It's more of an adult location than for children. "
