"I lived a couple of blocks away for 18 years. While everything in the review from 6 years ago was definitely true, I know for a fact that activity has greatly improved. The scsu attendance is greatly reduced, so the walk- by traffic has diminished significantly. The university had extended their discipline of student activity to include bad behavior off-campus. On the downside, there are far fewer events held on campus. It is wonderful to walk to downtown, even to Lake George and to the public library, depending on how much exercising you want to do! Multiple bus routes make a stop at Miller Library so it is very convenient to get around. The Neighborhood’s homeowners would welcome the Rehab of this beautiful jem. There is an historical preservation committee, and the members have a great deal of experience in returning homes to their initial glory. As this is on auction, it could be that the pipes were frozen, and any buyer would be looking at the replacement of the plumbing system. Check the utility records to see if the usage was high during the winter. Good luck searching for the right house for you and your family!"

"Good people,, safe . Quiet . Sometimes neighbors are too close . I’d like more privacy………………………."..".."
  • Maria Mg
" Convenient and easy to access. I like getting to places quickly and it’s a safe place. I like having a yard. "
  • Trulia User
"Best spot to raise a family and also a treasure of views, shopping and parks - nice community - lots of churches and events for all"
  • Punkrocksoul1991
"We have lived in the neighborhood for 4 years and know most of our neighbors on first name basis. There are lots of families and multi-generational families. We appreciate the diversity of the neighborhood. It is generally very safe although there are places to avoid due to the occupants. We lock our doors and I don’t let my elementary school son walk alone around the block for safety, but I am a cautious person. It’s a busy, but quiet neighborhood. "
  • Trulia User
"it was a great area but our couple neighbors turned on us. I stay away we love our neighborhood now. Clearwater Rd is a great area. "
  • Trulia User
"Close enough to downtown that you can walk or bike if the weather permits. Close to hwy10 for an easy commute out of town as well."
  • Trulia User
"We have lived here for 14 years and our kids have grown here. Safe for kids to play outside and that’s why we call it home. "
  • Trulia User

  • Wichapi S.
"I drive a car but would like to utilize the bus routes and wished they would be more frequent to pick those up at bus stops and operate longer in the evening..out traffic is mild to moderate"
  • Debra.dee.jones
"We walk our dogs every day or take them to one of the nearby dog parks. We never have issues with people or other dogs."
  • Wichapi S.
"This is a rural community. So traffic is light. It takes about 8 minutes to the nearest city, which can be heavy traffic in the morning and late afternoon and weekends"
  • Henkemeyer18

  • Makunefke
"I've lived here over 4 years, and I love it! Our cul de sac (the Loop) feels like one big family. We look out for and take care of one another. We have a happy mix of families with and without children. We all know how to have a good time without being irresponsible or disrespectful. "
  • Brro0601
"Good people and great houses. It is easy to to do walks at anytime day or night. You are near to schools. I have a health club two blocks away. You can also do your grocery shopping or eat at restaurants four blocks away."
  • Boe t.
"The roads are in poor condition. There’s a prostitute across the street & druggies in several houses/Apartments nearby. Many parents let their kids run free during the day 8am-9pm, so don’t expect sleep if you work overnights. "
