4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI think that this school has excellent opportunities, This school provides several programs to prepare students for college, and many advanced courses. During my four years here this school has proved to be able to provide different pathways depending on what you want to do for a career after high school. Every complaint that can be had, is because there are always going to be some bad students, and some bad teachers. I personally have never had bad teachers here, but other students say otherwise.Student Review1y ago16 Reviews - Nicollet Junior High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHey, so this school is kind of a nightmare and i'm not afraid to say it. I'm in 8th grade currently, and no one manages anything there. There's really no punishment for bullies, because the kids who do that just act really nice in front of the teachers so when we tell the teachers; "(insert name here) is bullying me" they don't believe it or they don't do anything in their action. It's honestly really sad. And just this year they changed a lot of the rules which i think is unnecessary. We don't have much freedom anymore. 1) -we cant bring food outside the lunchroom. (people don't finish their food. + no sharing food) 2) -no backpacks. (backpacks are usually cheaper, like the ones you can buy at 5 below, dollar tree, and other cheap places. But binders (especially the ones that are recommenced are pretty pricey. Plus, if this school is worried about weapons and firearms you can literally fit a gun in a binder AND backpack. AND if you have your backpack THEY will actually take it away.)3) -we only have 7 bathroom passes for the whole quarter. (just doesn't make any sense.) 4) no phones during the day not even passing time, plus when we have a ACTUAL LOCK DOWN we have the "phones away rule" even though they're literally an active shooter in the building.. you have to wait 10 minutes but still. ( i have no problem with having no phones out but i think this is too far. ) i can list way more.I've already said it but this school also has a huge bullying problem, last year it was really bad but i'm sure all the fighting will come back this year. There honestly were so many fights last year (and i almost was gonna get jumped by a kid who was chasing me down.) I have been bullied severely here.-I've been started at, threatened, almost punched, had to deal with mental abuse. people have made me so sick of this school. And tons of my friends, other people i don't know, they are just not being heard. I can't believe that this school is like this. You never feel like you belong there. And we are SICK of feeling like this, we feel horrible, we don't wanna stay quiet. I can speak for a lot of people here. I hate this school.thank you, -Student Of NMS.Student Review2y ago6 Reviews - Rahn Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBest School! 10/10The teachers are all AWESOME and treat everyone with kindness and respect. They have taught me almost everything I know. The principle gets to know everyone and is awesome. The students there are all great friends and awesome people. No fights. The events are incredible. There are dances, fun runs, and many other family events to do together. There is also breakfast with a book, the book fair, and family movies. Field trips are also enjoyable, and planned frequently throughout the year. The park is cool. New equipment last year! It's a large field to play in.The lunch is okay, like any other school. The library is cool lots of books to choose from and check out, there is a maker space where they have robots and fun activities to choose from. Once a month they have a day where students go in the morning to a different class to learn how to do different fun activities. There are fun after-school and before-school activities to choose from such as Girls on the Run (Run a 5k and learn about how to be confident in yourself) Patrols (Keep walkers safe by guiding traffic on the road) Student Council (Run the school store Wednesdays and go to meetings to make posters and plan events once a month.) There are also activities like chess.Overall, love the school.Other Review1y ago7 Reviews - Check out schools near 1770 Flamingo Dr #0.

"I have lived in this area for 1 month now and I feel very confident walking my dog. There are a lot of dog owners in the area. But people don’t say hello on the street when you meet them. For a small neighborhood, I would think it would be friendlier. "

"There are many parks and recreations in this area. It used to be very safe but the last few years more crime is happening spontaneously. Teach your children to seek help at a home if they feel they are a target for criminals. There are still good people in the neighborhood."
