HOUSE RULES

Pasadena has enforced rules for noise and litter. Please make sure any trash is cleaned up and not left scattered on the property. Noise is also expected to be kept to a minimum after 11PM and until 7AM.

Trash and garbage collection is on Thursday morning. Please make sure garbage bags are deposited in the barrel located behind the gate next to the laundry machine enclosure.

PETS

Small or medium dogs are allowed, but you must bring your own bowls. Your pet can use the grassed-in area next to the main house to relieve themselves. Just please make sure to clean up after them.

The owners of the front house have two friendly golden retrievers. They do not have access to the gated area of the guesthouse; however, they are sometimes outside in the fenced-in area between the guesthouse gate and the main gate. They are rarely left unattended for long. Please make sure they are inside before opening up either gate.

PARKING

(Free during day, Paid overnight)
Street parking is available directly outside of the home and along the side streets adjacent to the house.

If you would like to park overnight (2AM-6AM), you'll have to pay $3 dollar per night per car for the parking permit (TOPE).

There are three different options for purchase:

1. Purchase Permit Online via City of Pasadena website (search Temporary Overnight Parking Exemption): Permits can be bought in advance and can be purchased for up to 30 days. The cost is $3 per vehicle per night with a $3.50 service charge.

2. At kiosks located throughout the City. You can purchase up to 10 consecutive nights at a time, beginning with the night you make the purchase.

3. You can also buy overnight parking passes in Pasadena using the Passport Parking app.

4. The De Lacey Parking garage is available for overnight parking with a purchased pass. The garage is 1.3 miles from the guesthouse, and should be considered before purchasing the overnight pass.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

The nearest bus stop is .2 miles or a 4-minute walk from the house. The closest bus lines are the 20CW and 33 to the south, or 20CC, 51, 51S and 52 to the west.

The Metro A Line that goes directly to LA Union Station can be picked up at Lake St or Memorial Park. It is 1 mile from the house, or about a 20-minute walk.

    "We live on Glen Ave which is a quiet street with really good neighbors all around. It's much more attractive and well kept than South of Washington or immediately North of Woodbury, although North of Woodbury has been gentrifying extremely rapidly especially since Covid started. There are quite a few churches and a Buddhist temple. This area is very convenient with really awesome supermarkets like Super King and Vallarta that have much better produce options than Vons or Pavilions, which are also nearby. It's extremely quick to get to Trader Joe's as well. You can easily access outdoor and water activities at the Rose Bowl, the arroyo, or Descanso Gardens and there is a 24 hour fitness at Woodbury & Lincoln if you want to stay indoors. The kids from the high school walk home through the neighborhood but they generally behave themselves and it hasn't been a problem. Street parking is easy but guests parking overnight in Pasadena need a $5 permit that you get from a kiosk at the fire station on Fair Oaks."

I mean other than the “landlord” there (she’s long gone btw) , and there was the occasional parties that personally didn’t bug me but I know how it can be.
