5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall I feel that great things happening at PS 119. The administration is ahead of the game and making strides to find ways to help the children become better citizens overall. I particularly find it a great place for early childhood. I would not hesitate on sending your child here provided that you are prepared to give them extra academic support at home. Where as the academic climate is not as rigorous as I would like (until the 5th grade), the social climate is a strong one. Better than you will find at the majority of public schools. Biggest concern is that some of the teachers and school support staff in the building need an overhaul. However, overall it is a great learning environment that supports your childs social and emotional growth.Parent Review6y ago - Andries Hudde School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageP.S. 326 is undoubtedly one of the top early childhood schools in NYC. From the the teachers and the principal, front office team, school counselor, nurses, security guards and overall staff, there is a strong sense of family. The special people who make this place genuinely care for the children and love the work they do - they go above and beyond to give your child a sense of belonging, all while engaging them in developing a passion for learning. The principal is unlike any I have ever witnessed (even as a child going through the NYC school system myself); she is very involved and pretty much knows every student by first name. She also stands outside to greet the students every morning! Our 3-K team was phenomenal, especially being this was the rollout year for 3-K (which happened to fall during the pandemic). The teachers developed a curriculum suitable for the age group and coordinated so many fun arts and crafts projects and other activities (e.g., dance classes, apple painting, introduction to careers, teeth brushing, gardening/planting, tours inside a fire truck and a garbage truck [they parked right outside the school!] and much more!). My son loved going to school every day, but most importantly he grew and learned so much. We're beyond grateful for this experience and for all of the love and hard work the P.S. 326 family puts in to making this institution a home away from home. Thank you!Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 1740 Troy Ave.

"There are a lot of public parks to walk your 4-legged bestie. Since many people own dogs everyone takes care to pick up after them. The one thing that a dog owner might not like is that the area is very flat. So there isn’t very challenging terrain."
