6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe LOVE this school! We have twin 2nd graders here and our experience has exceeded our expectations. The teachers are fabulous, we had Connally & Conton and can't say enough wonderful things about both of them. We transferred here from our 'home' school to this school because we liked the FARM, the focus on Environmental Science and the small student population. Parental feedback is listened to (free summer school for ALL--thank you), the staff is very nice, and the principal (Lori Florigan) seems to care about the students and families. And it has a FARM! The farm is so special and unique. What a rare opportunity for our "beach kids" to get this type of "country" experience. My kids love going here, and they are thriving! I am so thankful for that! Its too bad more families don't consider a school like this, with excellent parent reviews, instead of just going by the rating number on the website.Parent Review7mo ago - Mesa View Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe truth about this school is the teachers are Horrible. They are constantly rude to students and the bully campaigns don't even work. And for special education? Not even good they removed it leaving some students without help or support. And you want to know the truth? if you are in special education You are going to be targeted by teachers expecting you to do something wrong.Student Review11mo ago - Ocean View High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt’s been incredible for both of my children. It’s small so the teachers and other staff are very involved with the kids. It’s diverse and encourages acceptance of others. Good programs such as IB and plenty of AP classes. Those that don’t fit into the high achieving academic group are not left behind. Everyone can find their niche. I know of many kids this year that we’re accepted at very reputable colleges such as Berkeley, UCLA and many others. I’m very happy that my children are at Ocean ViewParent Review6y ago - Check out schools near 17142 Northfield Ln.

"We have lived in HB for 29 years. It used to be a sleepy little beach resort. Now that we are "on the map", traffic is terrible. If you live anywhere near Beach Blvd, Adams, Goldenwest or any of the other major streets (which there are many) you will hear traffic, especially motorcycles. Of course, this is just the price we pay for living in a city with great weather, access to upper scale shopping, freeway close to Disneyland, mountains and the desert. If you are considering HB and have never been here, I would consider visiting on a weekend so you can see and hear the impact the traffic will make on your daily life."

"I work based at home so I couldn’t tell ya. But it’s close enough to downtown when I have meetings down there to ride my bike down. And good access to freeways, the most I commute is to North County SD or Beverly Hills."
