    "This is a small city right next to Lake Charles. Easy access to everything a big city has with all the quite, safe atmosphere to raise children. Schools are excellent. Parks in quantity including a state park 15 minutes away. Transportation a breeze with I-10 and many FM highways. This is a gem of a city."

    "My family has lived in Westlake for 4 years now. The area is very nice, clean and the local PD keep traffic in line. Recreation department is outstanding and if you have proof of residency then it is free!! Schools are some of the top in Calcasieu Parish. City and parish maintain roads and drainage. Neighbors seem to really care about each other. Westlake is just an all around nice place to raise a family..."
