About this House
Passing down a bright, spacious 800 sq. ft 1b1b unit in the 1700 E 56th St building, available now for rent long-term! Utility and cable included in the rent except electricity which is around $30-$40/mo. **Listing for my landlord, priority will be given to those who can move in earlier, preferably as soon as possible.**
- Stunning high-rise panoramic views of the lake and the Chicago skyline, as well as fireworks, lightnings and aurora borealis when they happen. Being the tallest building in Hyde Park you enjoy a bird's eye view for the entire town on the rooftop patio, and meteor showers in December. Your entire window can be submerged in clouds when they are low.
- Almost right at where the Promontory point is, and right next to shuttle stops for routes East and Regents Express. Bus stop for 6 (to downtown) and 55 right at the doorstep, bus stop for 171 one block away, metra stop two blocks away, open produce one block away, Trader Joe's two blocks away around the corner, Museum of Science and Industry right across the street.
- Security door-staff 24/7 who recognizes everyone living in the building, staffed receiving room for packages, 24/7 gym with free access, large laundry room with vendor's machine and lots of books, well-operated management office for questions, maintenance requests and fun weekly activities, an in-building online marketplace system for listings and secondhand finds, and a very kind and responsible landlord!
- Quiet and smoke-free, newly installed flooring; Three large walk-in closets and ample full-body mirrors. Quiet and efficient AC in the living room and bedroom with hot and cold air supplied by the building and you only pay for fan electricity (although I don't use it quite often since the unit rarely gets too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter, and when it is really necessary, the bedroom AC is enough for the entire unit). Fully furnished except the bed, which I can pass down to you at a discounted price.
Please reply here if interested and I will forward you to the landlord for showings/application. Units in this building are not always available!
