6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy niece was treated very poorly by most of the counselors, and their geography teacher; Coach Velasquez. I have been informed by multiple other teachers of my niece that other students have had problems and had been picked on by this individual. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers at this school have ZERO communication!! It’s like they’re scared or they just don’t want to talk to parents they constantly ignore parents and won’t talk to us. I haven’t talked to any of my child’s teachers in months. I’m the one reaching out to them and most of the time I’m ignored or there extremely short answered like I’m annoying them. They never reach out to me. When the academic dean reaches out to me about grades it’s like how would I know what’s going on the teachers don’t talk to me. If 6th grade is this bad I’m not sure if I want my kid here for the next couple of years. The rave reviews of this being a great school doesn’t seem so true when you actually see what happens behind closed doors. Just another typical nisd school with a lot of issues.Parent Review8mo ago15 Reviews - Dr. Sara B. McAndrew Elementary School

"It’s far. Traffic can be a lot on some days. But I prefer to live outside of San Antonio. It’s calm and not as busy as the city. "

"Safe. Family friendly. Great schools. Scenic. Quiet. Peaceful. Friendly. Does lack diversity of cultures though but I hope that changes now that more people are moving to Boerne. Traffic on I-10 is difficult most days but the frontage and back roads are always good alternatives. "

"I have lived here outside of Bulverde and Boerne,Tx. for over 23 yrs.. People own acres here vs close neighbors like the city. however, we know each other and are kind and helpful should you ever need them. Activities are planned including an occasional farmers market and we are close to GUADALUPE national park so there is kayaking, etc. opportunities. "

"I've lived in this neighborhood for ten years. It's very friendly with a few annual events, including a Halloween potluck + a trick-or-treating hayride for the kids, and a big Christmas party/potluck for the adults. The 1.5 mile cul-de-sac is hilly and curvy and quite scenic. You can hand-feed the deer from your car in some areas. You can do a safe but challenging 5-mile run by doing the entire road plus all the side streets."

"They would enjoy walking their dogs in a small, quiet neighborhood away from even the minor hustle and bustle of Boerne proper, along with the ability to take their dogs down to the river and swim around a bit in our private neighborhood park with river access."

"Your dog always has to be on a leash there's no free reign to have them walk next to you. It's not as much fun."
