3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended East High School after spending K-8 in private school. I wish I had kept her in private school. East High Administrators' focus is on athletics and perhaps drama. Everything else takes a distant second. My daughter was a part of a STEM program which was discontinued before her last year. One day, the students were given the choice of attending a football game or sitting in the auditorium, but classes were cancelled due to the game. This occurred twice in two years. Some of her teachers were great. Others had a vague idea about who she was when we came to parent teacher conferences. She hated it there and put forth the effort to graduate early, which I applaud for less time wasted. I gave the school two stars instead of one for the handful of wonderful teachers and counselors who are doing their best for the students.Parent Review7y ago - Emerson School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageInnovations early college high school is very underrated in the state but it's very good. You can get help in anything whether it's emotional or academics. There are tutors who can help you in your assignments as well as your mentors, plus teachers and staff. They will help you achieve your academic goals, whether it's graduating early or not, taking college classes early etc. I really do recomend this school. You even have stufy periods where you can work individually. it's not like other high schools where you have 4 periods a day and 2 hours a class. They as well offer classes at the nearby high schools that innovations doesn't have. It's a very welcoming school and easy to make friends no one judges. And parents/guardians get updates on the students assignments and grades etc.Student Review1y ago - Innovations K-8

"This neighborhood is a great walking neighborhood. There are parks, restaurants, grocery stores , shops, veterinarian clinic, salons and even the “humpback roundabout’” that are within walking distance. It is close to downtown, but feels suburban with single family homes and only a few duplexes or small apartment buildings. "

"We need more young families to move into the neighborhood. Many nice, caring neighbors, just not enough children."

"Easy place to live with no construction, schools are good and the city is the perfect distance for access without the noise. Gets crowded during university football games. Eclectic, well maintained and comfortable, it’s on the pricey side but it’s worth it and the commute is always opposite of traffic, which makes it a breeze. Lots are generally small but it’s great for a family. Located on a hill above the valley which offers some good views of the city but within 6 minutes of the canyons. Dog parks are nice and there are plenty of trails that are dog friendly, but avoid watershed areas higher up, because the fines are big. "

"It’s the lack of construction and the unique housing and terrain that makes this place pleasant. Not to mention the, concerts at Red Butte garden, the many University activities: sports events concerts, and motorcycle events at the stadium and super easy access to the mountain range and very little traffic jambs. "It’s a great neighborhood for dogs because there’s a lot of other dogs around. A park is near by and there are plenty of trees for potty breaks. Also everyone looks out for each other’s dogs. If my neighbor is working a late shift I take her dogs out potty for her. "
