7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is subpar at best. There are rats and cockroaches (and other disgusting bugs) within the locker room. The PE teachers do not care about the health of students; they make them lie on the filthy gym floor everyday, and they never clean them. Some of the teachers here are great, but the other teachers can be somewhat of a martinet, being very critical, making students cry. I see students in the cafeteria running around like monkeys, chasing each other and putting one another in garbage cans, with no consequences. The curriculum is not challenging, as for the whole school year I have spent less than 8 hours total on homework. If you want your to have a good middle experience, do NOT send your child here.Student Review3y ago - William Land Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you have the means to move your child to another school, do. My daughter has always loved school. She started fighting in the mornings to stay home. When I observed her classroom, I understood why she did not want to go. The teacher yells at students and treats the Asian kids with a kindness not shown to other students. After putting my daughter in counseling, we moved her to another school where she is so happy. Office staff are friendly and ignore problematic issues as if to pretend they do not exist.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 1639 10th St.

"It’s been a great transformation with DOCO. A lot of great places to eat, shop and hang out. I like it because it is quieter than Midtown due to all of the State buildings so it’s pretty empty on weekends. "
- Jordan M.

"There are all different types of community events in town but they are usually through some separate organization separate from the city. It’s a downtown area! Stuff happens all the time!"

"Parking is limited, you may come across homeless folks, and there is the usual weekend rowdiness BUT there are plenty of parks and fun activities for you like farmers markets or other kid friendly events. The walkability and central location is so worth it!"
