  • LAUREN S.
"some blocks are tragically blighted, others are like Cedar Park, others are like Elmwood Park & some are more like Cobbs Creek. A lot of blocks are run down & bleak looking & some are nice . It's a mixture of gritty urban decay, tragic, industrial, and standard urban work class pre-war. There's parks & lots of trolleys & cheap grocery stores in the cut. It's a mixed vibe "

"There used to be a special neighborhood. neighbors were neighborly, they look out for one another, clean the streets together, share special dish of food, a d nosey, which worked in out neighborhood. Some neighbors are watching everything and keep you abreast as to what going on. Now, the young people don't care or just ignorant about family cultures because too many broken families, babies raising babies and they are just a lost generation to care about any neighborhood. "

"Nothing, we don’t have community events in this neighborhood that I know about, everyone is pretty much stays to their self until the 4 of July. Then they have a block party and everyone comes out and enjoy their self with music , food, dancing. The kids have the moon bounce and they ride their bikes and dance, run. And play, that’s rrslly the only thing we do in my neighborhood "

"I described this neighborhood is mysterious a lot of crackheads to me abandoned houses this neighbor has its ups and downs I see it coming up some they're doing a lot of remodeling homes around so for low income people for a Section 8 goes but you got to be very careful what you rent because you might rent you a an apartment full of mices rodents I see a lot of possums and raccoons so on that note you have to judge it for yourself come live here you'll find out💁💁💁💁💁✌✌✌"
