Description

This apartment is the upper floor of a 1906 Victorian, and has a private 'European' side yard. This apartment has lovely light, and pitched ceilings, with new windows. The apartment is accessed through the yard with a mature peach tree and planters and then up an exterior grape vine covered staircase. The very small garden is perfect for sitting outside to get some sun, or read a book!

The newly remodeled kitchen has a new gas stove, new refrigerator, and a new Bosch (almost silent!) dishwasher, new glass-faced cabinets, quartz counters with undermount lighting. There is a lot of storage space and plenty of counter space for food prep. There is a deep stainless steel sink. The kitchen is appointed with all the small appliances (microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker), pots/pans/utensils you would need to cook and entertain!

The primary bedroom is very large with a queen sized bed, new mattress and pillow topper, desk, dresser, TV, and a large closet. The other bedroom is much smaller and has a trundle bed that pulls out to a king sized bed (which takes up most of the room) and a folding desk, that can be used when the bed is in the twin configuration, and also has a closet.

There is a great room with a living room with sofa and chair, and also has a TV (with a Roku-- bring your own streaming subscriptions). The dining area has a table that expands to seat 6 people. The entire apartment has been recently repainted, and there are wood floors throughout the apartment.

The bathroom has a shower over the tub and skylight.

There is a free high efficiency front-loading washer and gas dryer that is shared with the occupants of the lower level. The heating is gas, and there is a portable A/C unit available for your use if you would like. The hot water is on an instantaneous hot water system.

There are three units on the property, and we live in the house behind the apartment. Each unit has a small, dedicated outdoor space for that unit.

You can easily walk to Berkeley Bowl (both of them), Ashby Bart, downtown Berkeley and UC Berkeley. While many of the tenants who have lived here have lived here car free, we have parked on the street for years with little to no difficulty, and there is no 'permitted' parking in the area. While it is close to campus, the neighborhood is quiet.

We pay for the following utilities- water, sewer and trash.

Owner pays for water, sewer and trash.

This is fully furnished, and we are flexible about the length and terms of the lease.

Since it is fully furnished, pets are not allowed.

From helping the elderly to supporting the youth it's one big fest of communities colliding together and having each other backs. Let's not forget the big parties and many fusion restaurants they have to offer. With its diversity of multicultural foods the possibilities are endless and of course let's not forget our classics to New York style pizza to traditional Mexican cuisine it's an abyss of nothing but delicious food coming your way "
