8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have mixed feelings about this school. We have loved the teachers (except for one 1st grade teacher) in the upper grades and love much about the school. But there are some very outdated approaches to punishment and social emotional learning that the principal enforces that are not backed by research to help kids. Lots of like about the school -- it's small, local, strong PTA involvement, good yard facilities, teachers overall seem engaged and caring. Wish the principal was more open to learning about more progressive and research-backed ways to help kids with behavior and social learning.Parent Review8mo ago28 Reviews - Eagle Rock Elementary and Magnet Center

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a parent of a kid who culminated 6th grade and another kid currently enrolled in one of the two magnet programs. My kids are thriving at this school! There is a tremendous amount of volunteer parental support. Fundraisers are held throughout the year to support field trips including a couple of overnight trips, art and dance programs and plenty of afterschool activities and clubs. The options for mental, physical, emotional stimulation are plentiful. I strongly feel Eagle Rock Elementary prepares my kids for a successful academic future.Parent Review1mo ago15 Reviews - Eagle Rock High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son is currently in the 8th grade at Eagle Rock Junior Senior High School and loves it. In fact, when offered the opportunity to attend a private school instead, our son chose to stay at Eagle Rock. It’s because his teachers care and have made him feel seen and important. They find unique ways engage and inspire their students in the learning process. Our son comes home excited by what he’s learning in school and likes the way his teachers make the learning come to life. We do notice that the school often looks like it needs a fresh coat of paint and like the gardener forgot to blow the leaves away but none of this matters to our son. He loves his teachers and we think that pretty special.Parent Review4mo ago23 Reviews - Check out schools near 1616 Yosemite Dr.

"It’s one of the most trendy areas in the Northeast LA area. Great selection of restaurants to choose from. There is a diverse age group and ethnicities. There is a good transit system that come through here. It is central to Glendale, Pasadena, Highland Park, Atwater Village and a short drive to Downtown LA. Plenty of streets, so no need to rely on the freeways."
