5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter's experience in Delaware City Schools has been positive (5th grade to senior year). In fact, it's the primary reason I've stayed in the area and ultimately, it's the reason I'm opting to purchase a home in the area. I feel she has been supported in her extracurricular pursuits and has had plenty of options for dual enrollment at the high school. There are a couple of FANTASTIC guidance counselors going above and beyond at the high school. Unfortunately, there are couple of very lackluster, lazy teachers and I don't always feel administration does enough to address parent complaints about them (then again, having worked as a high school teacher, I know that admins' options can be constrained by union regulations and change can be slow in that regard).Parent Review5y ago - John C Dempsey Middle School
