"4th of July Parade Tractor Show Farmers Market (every Wednesday and Sunday Bike and Wine Tour x2 in the spring and fall"
  • Kevin C.
"4th of July Parade with all the tractors is great. There are many delicious local restaurants. It’s its own bedroom community but within 30 minutes from everything in Albuquerque. "
  • Jennifer B.
"Great schools. Family friendly. Lovely outdoor shops and restaurants. Do have to be aware of wildlife. "
  • Lynn S.
"Great horse & livestock community, great trails, hiking, riding, away from city noice and crime. Lots of unique space between lots versus neighborhoods. The frogs, lizards, and birdwatchers."
  • Lynn S.
"Your dogs can bark and no one will complain. Lots of open space and yards, wildlife to keep your dogs healthy and active."
  • Lynn S.
"Lots of space, privacy, nature, animal friendly. Horse friendly, river friendly... nothing but trails. Peaceful, no traffic, safe for children. Secure "
  • Gabi S.
"Commute is a downside. Anyone who lives on the west side and has to cross the river for work knows this. "
  • Saxon F.
"Plenty of walking space, just beware of coyotes on a possible early morning prowl, although they aren’t aggressive you never know, especially if you’re a small dog owner. "
  • Lynn S.
"Watch out for falling Cottonwood limbs, as it happens most frequently and could be dangerous for children or animals. Don’t tie a swing or tire to the old cottonwoods or build a tree house in one as they are very unsteady and limbs breaks instantaneously."
  • Lynn S.
"That Corrales overalls laid back community is getting very PC by new people moving into an agricultural town and wanting to treat it like a neighborhood."
  • Matthew P.
"Concerts at the Old Church, Starlight Parade, Harvest Festival, easy access to the Bosque. Wagner’s roasting chile in the autumn"
  • Sandee3454
"Corrales has a real sense of community! Very animal friendly and wonderful neighbors that look out for each other. 3--4 outstanding restaurants but not a place for night life. Cute boutique-type shopping opportunities; lots of art galleries. We love it here!"
  • Judith P.
"The Village of Corrales is rural in character, houses required to have an acre to build a house. Most houses are southwest in character. Many people own horses, pygmy goats, llamas, chickens, etc., even hear peacocks and they are allowed too. Lots of soft trails that wind throughout the village and can go along the Rio Grande on the Bosque by horse, bicycle, or by foot the trail goes through Albuquerque too. Yet it is so peaceful. No sirens and car noise. Car fumes from large cities not a problem here. It is a unique area that has lots of southwestern style houses and restaurants."
  • dore
"we moved to corrales earlier this year after exploring different areas of NM. Corrales has a bit of everything, 100 plus yr-old adobes, million dollar estates, comfortable northern NM type arch most all with lots of property. lots of interesting folks- artists, musicians, writers -i work in the arts so know the cast of characters! the "greenbelt" means you are on water- you have one or 2 wells- so very different than most areas of NM. lots of trees and old orchards. i prefer this area to santa fe -you have everything a charming village offers and 10 minutes from costco, sprouts, etc. 12 miles from downtown albuq-and on or near the rio grande."
  • Lxatoledo
"Great area for quiet, quaint and stress free living. Wonderful homes and wonderful people"
