What Locals Say about Downtown
- Camren B.
- Resident

"All of my neighbors who have pups can be seen walking them at any time of day! There’s plenty of grassy/dirt areas for them to do their business. "
- Stephanie F.
- Resident

"the neighborhood has dog poop stations on the street to collect waste, local parks to let the dog walk around, and many dog friendly restaurants available. "
- Hwilliams6018
- Resident

"It’s been a great transformation with DOCO. A lot of great places to eat, shop and hang out. I like it because it is quieter than Midtown due to all of the State buildings so it’s pretty empty on weekends. "
- Jordan M.
- Resident
- 4y ago
"There are all different types of community events in town but they are usually through some separate organization separate from the city. It’s a downtown area! Stuff happens all the time!"
- Anaavramidi
- Resident
- 4y ago
"This is not a good area for walking alone for kids, cause there are a lot of homeless people live in the downtown area but there are a lot of nice place here for family "
- Susan M.
- Visitor
- 4y ago
"Parks clean neighborhoods play area friendly people lots of pet markets and vet grooming. Pet hospital and clinics. Pet care "
- Jacewitman319
- Resident

"Many nightlife dining options within walking distance but this is offset by transient / drug addict / mentally ill roaming downtown, often hostile."
- Koryn 1.
- Resident
- 5y ago
"Parking is limited, you may come across homeless folks, and there is the usual weekend rowdiness BUT there are plenty of parks and fun activities for you like farmers markets or other kid friendly events. The walkability and central location is so worth it!"
- Koryn 1.
- Resident

"Walkability, new events and activities often, and the overall atmosphere make living downtown ideal!"
- Jennifer
- Resident

"Everyone should live in a downtown scene at least once in their lives. Sacramento has a very friendly downtown. Fireworks, live music, great street food & restaurants. And that’s not including the wonderful “Second Saturday.”"
