This school is okay, some of the teachers would rather have the students fill out a worksheet then teach, and some are happy to answer every question a student may have during a lecture. It's a mixed bag. The tardy rules are unnecessarily strict, even though at least one morning bus routinely drops students off after dirst period begins, causing a daily line to the office for a morning tardy bus pass, causing students to be even more late to class just so they can still go to football games, homecoming, and prom. The gym dresscode is also unnecessarily strict, even though the female gym instructor's fingertips went way past her daily short shorts during the intruction that students shouldn't wear shorts that do not go past their fingertips. These were again, her daily shorts, even though many female students are getting in trouble on campus for shirt straps slightly too thin or small or shorts slightly too short. At one point a group of male students did a experiment by walking around the school for a full day with their shirts tucked up like like they were wearing a crop top with their stomach out, and were not ever dress coded by any staff like a female student would have been within probably the first 30 minutes of walking around campus like that. The staff usually don't check in on their students as much as they should. Other than this, there are a lot of classes and activities that are very beneficial to students. This school is okay if you have to send your child here, but definitely not preferred if you can get them into a better highschool.

My grandson is on his second year at Pomo. Before he started I had heard a lot of negative comments. I now say POMO is a great school. My grandson so far has had two outstanding teachers (Mrs Murch and Mr. Wickard). My grandson has exceeded in ways I wasn’t expecting. The teachers have always welcomed me and any questions I’ve had. As for the office staff, they have been great to interact with. Wendy at the front desk has always been very helpful. The principal and vice principal have been readily available if needed. So far the school has provided the necessary tools and engagements in providing a great academic learning place.
