2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible! This school is a small community school that might be better off shut down soon. This school sticks up for the popular bully kids and most of the staff actually end up bullying other staff that don't fit in. This teaches students poor character. Most teachers care about their own social standing and getting a break to sit on their computers to look at news and shopping and allowing other staff members to do their job instead of teaching the kids that need it the most.Parent Review4y ago - Taft Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible school. Felt completely unsafe teaching there. Students had no expectations placed onto them at the beginning of the school year, so there are basically "no rules." Students use their phone during class, eat meals and leave the mess, and spray water in the hallways and on desks, causing people to slip. I was told by a staff member that, "grades do not matter (unless the student is in sports) and that they know grades do not matter because they cannot be held back/retained. The punitive punushment and suspensions used at Taft are through the roof, as the answer to any behavioral problems is to take the students out of the classroom. Students with special needs and ELL's are also not being supported with any form of IEP, EA, or instructional support. Overall, I feared for my life at this school. On my first day, I was supposed to be given a tour of the school and no one knew about it. The principal was doing a coffee run for his coworker while I navigated the school almost by myself. The staff has no clue how bad they are failing their kids. This school is a disaster.Teacher Review3mo ago - Valley High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe overall vibe at Coronado is a positive one! The administration and teachers all work together for the good of the students and you can tell they are happy to be there! The lessons are engaging and the students seem to be happy to be learning.Parent Review2y ago - Nex Gen Academy

"I drive, but have had the unfortunate experience of having my vehicle stolen. This is not something the people of New Mexico are shocked about, the police and my coworkers all said welcome to ABQ when I told them. "

"Sometimes dog owners don’t pick up their dogs mess for whatever reason. Seeing dog droppings isn’t common but unfortunately there’s those few bad lemons that just leave their dogs business behind. Unfortunately another issue is the dog barking that happens often with owners ignoring them all day. Again, not often that it happens but it does. "

"Albuquerque is just a bad place to live. I hope to god I can move to a normal state soon. The schools are 49th of not 50th in the nation, the crime rate rivals Detroit. It’s not a good place to raise a family "
