"Very rural. Great mix of people who moved here in the past decade or so and people who grew up here. Lots of culture. Immense natural beauty. "
  • Kailynn C.
"I lived here for two years. It is quiet and has a little bit of everything for necessities. The park is great. There are Tennis Courts, a playground and a skate park that I grew up skating in. There is a pub, a diner and a pizza place in the center of town as well as two banks and a gas station. Lots of farms and minutes down the road from historic Copake Falls. Not far from Great Barrington. "
  • Melissa A.
"THere is plenty of space to walk your dogs. We have open fields and parks and sidewalks all over town"
  • Candi
"I have lived here for years. The town in the summer gets taken over by camp kids and city people. Locals are nice"
  • Melissa A.
"It’s a small quaint village where everyone knows each other. It is however quite always from anything resembling a city. We like it that way. "
  • steve j. s.
"Unspoiled, beautiful Berkshire Mt. retreat only 2 hrs. from NYC. enjoy skiing and other winter sports and hiking, bike trails, golf, tennis the rest of the year. Only 45 miles from Capital District and convenient to Amtrak and Metro North. Easy to get to and hard to leave."
  • Info
"Consistently rated as one of the most beautiful areas of the Hudson Valley, Copake has a wealth of vistas with trails, hiking, biking, swimming, skiing and driving tours with spectacular scenery. Only 2 hours to New York City, it is also 30 minutes to the heart of Hudson, NY & Great Barrington, MA."
  • Patricia B.
"What a charming and picturesque place. Close to NYC, Hudson and Great Barrington, MA. Also under 2 hours to Boston. Yet, still remote and secluded. Great hiking. Wonderful scenery. Home of one of the most beautiful state parks- Taconic State Park/Bash Bish Falls. "
