Description

Introducing to the market for the first time in over 20 years, Three Willows, an adorable Cape Cottage built in 1954 in the historic hamlet of Copake, NY. This wonderfully situated 2 bedroom 2.5 bathroom residence is located in the quaint hamlet center within walking distance to both the Copake General Store and the local yoga studio. The grounds of this lovely home are a garden paradise with waves of beautifully curated blooms for every week in season accompanied by a soul soothing view of mountains and a deep pond for a cold plunge beneath a giant, gentle willow amongst the birch and the bees.

The kitchen boats clean, white Viking appliances with a center island for the chef's convenience with custom cabinetry and granite countertops with a dining area overlooking the back gardens and mountain views. The house is all electric and efficient with systems in place built to walk away and head to the city with ease. The two bedrooms are both en suite and very separate from one another, allowing for guests' privacy. A home for all seasons with a park like setting for both gardening galore and cross country skiing across a wide expanse of snow covered hills for the winter buffs.

The hamlet of Copake is a mini fertile valley contained within the wider Hudson Valley because it lies at the foot of the famed Mt. Washington State Forest with its magnificent Bash Bish waterfall flowing into the famed Roeliff Jansen Kill through the community and it's contiguity of both Berkshires and Taconic ranges. Much like a little gem lettuce patch, this Copake hamlet boasts some of the very best soil and, therefore, produce in the region. Copake is definitely becoming a well established flower farming community and this offering holds its own as a notable garden in the area.

"Very rural. Great mix of people who moved here in the past decade or so and people who grew up here. Lots of culture. Immense natural beauty. "
  • Kailynn C.
"I lived here for two years. It is quiet and has a little bit of everything for necessities. The park is great. There are Tennis Courts, a playground and a skate park that I grew up skating in. There is a pub, a diner and a pizza place in the center of town as well as two banks and a gas station. Lots of farms and minutes down the road from historic Copake Falls. Not far from Great Barrington. "
  • Melissa A.
"THere is plenty of space to walk your dogs. We have open fields and parks and sidewalks all over town"
  • Candi
"I have lived here for years. The town in the summer gets taken over by camp kids and city people. Locals are nice"
  • Melissa A.
"It’s a small quaint village where everyone knows each other. It is however quite always from anything resembling a city. We like it that way. "
  • steve j. s.
"Unspoiled, beautiful Berkshire Mt. retreat only 2 hrs. from NYC. enjoy skiing and other winter sports and hiking, bike trails, golf, tennis the rest of the year. Only 45 miles from Capital District and convenient to Amtrak and Metro North. Easy to get to and hard to leave."
  • Info
"Consistently rated as one of the most beautiful areas of the Hudson Valley, Copake has a wealth of vistas with trails, hiking, biking, swimming, skiing and driving tours with spectacular scenery. Only 2 hours to New York City, it is also 30 minutes to the heart of Hudson, NY & Great Barrington, MA."
  • Patricia B.
"What a charming and picturesque place. Close to NYC, Hudson and Great Barrington, MA. Also under 2 hours to Boston. Yet, still remote and secluded. Great hiking. Wonderful scenery. Home of one of the most beautiful state parks- Taconic State Park/Bash Bish Falls. "
