The school provides hands-on learning such as the e-Bussiness class that runs and operates The Nest student store and the coffee shop in which they are trained and certified by Starbucks. As well as the Publish Safety class that provides students with knowledge and experiences in careers that involve public safety and are certified by CPR; FEMA certifications including Incident command system, Emergency Planning, Active Shooter What You Can Do, An Introduction to Hazardous Materials, and Fundamentals of Emergency Management. Cardinal City also will include a 21st-century Makerspace for engineering that will work on 3D printers and animatronics from Garner Holt the world's largest Manufacturer of Animatronics & Animatronic Figures and designer of Disneyland robots. This school has unique features such as the Cardinal City Museum that showcases the history of the school and the community do their rich history that data back to 1883 as being the first high school in San Bernardino County. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter currently attends Shandin Hills as an 8th grader and last year as a 7th grader. I do not believe that this is a horrible school but it is not the best either. I think that the standards of the staff is an area of imorovement. This school does not academically challenge the students or adequately prepare them for high school. The curriculum and programs available to the students are not comparable to what others middle schools in other counties provide to their schools. "Blair park and Shandin hills golf course are close but so there is always functions and games going on. When I drive in and out of my gate, I see the kids playing at the park or adults taking a boot camp class"
