This home, with an attached one-car garage, is a cozy 6 room cape which has a kitchen, living room and 4 bedrooms, one which could be easily utilized as a dining room like it is now. It has hardwood floors throughout and includes a full bath on the first floor across from a bedroom as well as an additional half bath between two bedrooms on the fully finished second floor. There is a fireplace in the living room and an additional fireplace in the unfinished basement. The possibilities of what you can do with this home are endless. A 30 x 32' kennel is located in the backyard for animal lovers but could be easily converted to a safe area for a swimming pool, playground or just remove it completely to add to your entertainment space within the privacy of the fenced in backyard which makes it a great place to relax on the patio and barbecue in the warmer weather. Take a peek, you might like what you see. You just need to add your own touches to make it your own.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHaving come from Glastonbury Public Schools and being a former public school teacher I felt compelled to share I’ve been impressed with John Paterson Elementary. This school has highly-skilled veteran staff that work well together in each grade band. Class sizes have been 16-18 students- which I find incredible given most districts have maximums at 27 students. I’ve consistently been impressed by each teacher my child has had. I get weekly updates on what they’re working on in class and pictures of their activities. They offer enrichment, as well as targeted interventions, for students to ensure everyone’s needs are met. My child absolutely loves their school and has found good friends. Math and reading instruction are on point. I also love the socioeconomic and ethnic diversity here- it’s such a better representation of the real world and offers an abundance of teachable moments. Students get to learn about all different cultures and make friends with students who speak multiple languages. I’ve also been pleased with the social-emotional curriculum. I understand the “great schools” rating goes off of test scores, but schools are so much more than that. My kid is happy, enjoys learning, is performing above grade level, feels safe, and likes going to school.Parent Review2mo ago - Newington High School

"We have lived here for 33 years. In our immediate vicinity, our yards are large and there are few houses mixed with small commercial entities (gas station, coffee shop, hair salon, restaurant, small grocery). Our next-door neighbor has lived here for over 60 years. Well-established area. Neighbors don’t socialize with each other, but speak and exchange greetings. The size of the properties gives privacy, and interacting with the town is up to the individual, and at different levels. One neighbor is active in scouting. When our son went through the school system, that brought us more into school activities. There are few kids in the vicinity, That has been true through out time here. Properties are kept up. It’s a quiet place to live. There’s a lot of traffic on Hartford Ave, but the houses are sheltered by trees and set back on the property."

"The commute to downtown Hartford is very easy via the Berlin Turnpike. A car is a must have here in the suburbs, although the state is trying to have more busses come through Newington, which can help with the trip into Hartford. Traffic to/from Newington sometimes builds up, but is normally always moving and doesn’t take more than a half hour into Hartford."
