"Good commute, close to buses and metro with lots of walkability to grocery stores and eating establishments. "
  • Tangela Ridgeway
"Watch your kids. Keep your door locked. Check their backpacks stay vigilant watch the neighbors pay attention to the games they watch."
  • Robertparga12
"Very central to all your needs. A lot of illegal dumping but overall I feel safe in the neighborhood "
  • Chris Albanese
"The subway line is coming but won’t be open until 2025. There are bus lines but we don’t use them. "
  • Paul N Caporaso
"Diversity and architecture are both very important aspects of the neighborhood. There are great small businesses as well, especially along Pico. Needs safer streets though as cars speed all the time and the area is pinch point for several main boulevards. "
  • Trulia User
"Parents need to be vigilant even if this is, relatively speaking, a safe neighborhood. Still, lighting is spotty in places. Carrying flashlights and moving in small groups are both good ideas for evenings"
  • Trulia User
"Holiday events and block parties make this a nice and special neighborhood. It feels like a safe environment and people are generally friendly and neighborly."
  • Trulia User
"The neighborhood is okay. Neighbors are not very neighborly. Close to Larchmont Village. I enjoy going there and going to the Farmers Market on Sunday or people watching. "
  • Trulia User
"Close to the 10 and 405. Lots of historic residences. Plenty of shopping and restaurants, parks and museums. Lots of dogs, friendly neighbors. Extremely diverse. "
  • Trulia User
"There are lots of dogs in this neighborhood. There are no dog parks in the area as far as I know. Most people walk their dogs before and after work. "
  • Trulia User
"Mid city is an ideal location for me in LA. Been living here 5yrs and have any problems. I walk my dog daily & all my neighbors are friendly."
  • Trulia User
"Wellington Farmers market, always great for family! It’s always nice hearing the music Sunday morning. "
  • Trulia User
"My job is about 30 to 45 minutes away from where I live because of traffic. and my job is about 12 mi from where I live."
  • Trulia User
"Calm and friendly. Diverse. Centrally located. Young families, young professionals. I love living in this area. "
  • Trulia User
"A lot of people walk their dogs. It’s pretty quiet depending what area of the neighborhood your in and people pick up after their dogs for the most part."
  • Trulia User
"This neighborhood has lots of free campsites for homeless residents. The general lack of parking spaces also makes parking a fun adventure that can last hours."
  • Trulia User
"The HPOZ in Miracle Mile is great, but walking on main sector streets right now is not very pleasant due to LAs rampant homelessness issue. "
  • Trulia User
"A lot a families in this neighborhood. A lot of crime too. I don’t feel unsafe but I would let my kid play by himself here."
  • Trulia User
"The neighborhood is gentrifying. Good and bad to that… there are incredible views and the people are nice."
  • Trulia User
"My commute is short. The area is gentrifying which is good and bad of course. I do feel safe here though. "
  • Trulia User
"Local hiding dog park is great way to meet the neighbors l! Dogs are all friendly and know each other!"
  • Trulia User
"there aren't many young children here but it's starting to become a young suburban area.thrrr are no community parks local either mostly a foodie area"
  • Trulia User
"The central location of my neighborhood, along with the diversity of residents, and relatively low crime rate combine to make living here a positive experience."
  • Trulia User
"My commute is fast to almost all areas of LA. I feel safe saying that it takes 15-30 minutes driving to and from the west side / Santa Monica / Venice, east side, downtown LA and the valley. It’s very convenient for almost all areas. "
  • Trulia User
"I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 20 years. I love it. Good community. Diverse in ethnicity and age. Pretty safe "
  • Trulia User
"There’s a lot of dogs around and there’s even an eco friendly dog wash in the neighborhood. At times there are dogs roaming off leash and random cats around but not a big deal I guess. I don’t own a dog so I’m not to sure what dog owners are looking for. "
  • Trulia User
"I don’t have a daily commute atm but mid-City is literally in the middle of the city, making most LA proper destinations within easy driving distance. "
  • Trulia User
"very very good excellent I work in west Hollywood home in 25 mins during traffic.very safe all buses are climate control and access all night service"
  • Emily
"No. Issues great family area. Not sure where the farmers market is. Maybe larchmont? Great dog community. I get packages delivered here all the time. "
  • Jhowler
"Miracle Mile is quieter than other mid-City neighborhoods, and crime is relatively low, but it’s still Morgantown to be vigilant and mindful of drivers going too fast, even on block with speed bumps."
  • Jennaobando27
"It’s walkable and accessible to a lot of public parks nearby. It’s not too loud and overall a peaceful neighborhood."
  • Crystal R.
"It’s very Peaceful and quite and there’s a lot of shopping centers near by to shop. Also healthy options as well. "
  • Isabelle M.
"People walk their dogs all the time and at all hours of the day. Women will walk their dogs by themselves at night in the neighborhood, and it's safe! If you have a dog, this is a great area for walks."
  • Jhowler
"Residents are respectful of dog owners, as long as dogs are on leashes and their owners clean up after them, both of which are true the majority of the time, at least since I’ve been living here. Barking dogs can be an issue, with some residents allowing their pets to “express” themselves for longer than they shouldbefore calming them. This is my only dog related complaint."
  • Kimberface
"There are many families in this neighborhood. There are a couple of mediocre parks nearby. I don't think the neighborhood is necessarily the safest place but it's not the most dangerous by any means either. Midcity lands in the middle across the board. "
  • Adahglenn
"I grew up in this neighborhood and raised my kids here. It’s not perfect but a nice L.A. neighborhood. "
  • Yoch91
"Not many community events. There doesn’t appear to be a lot of community interaction or pride for mid city. Just very nice location for being central to all the fun destinations."
  • Wendy C.
"Close to many restaurants and museums. Not a long drive to get downtown. Some Block parties happen nearby"
  • Neda Z.
"They would like it here, lots of place to walk the dogs around in this neighborhood. And not very much traffic. "
  • Taylor H.
"Lots of grass and friendly neighbors. People from outside the neighborhood come here just so they can walk their dogs. It’s lovely!"
