I am a student at John Adams Middle School. Overall the school is very mid. It is most certainly a place were rich kids have big egos and are entitled. There are good teachers and absolutely horrendous teachers. The worst teacher is BY FAR the Spanish teacher and the 6th grade teacher. Along with the seventh grade learning skills teacher(She is old school and quite rude but overall not bad at her job). The Spanish teacher doesn’t grade anything and is just overall annoying with no respect for anyone. The best teacher is MR. LINKENAUGER. This man is a saint. He absolutely excels at his job in every way imaginable. He tries and successfully gets is students engaged in learning. The sports are normally competitive except for cheer. The principal is absolutely phenomenal and truly cares about the staff and the students. Overall John Adams is a Decent school in a bad county. You can also just go to catholic and waste your money on an overpriced education.

These great reviews are all from the administration trying to get more children to join. I have lived in Oklahoma and Texas, and compared to the high schools there, this is a joke! The students are never engaged and mental health rates are at the worst low here. If you want to send your child to a horrible school, this is the place.

Many of the positive reviews for this school reflect the leadership of a former principal who was truly exceptional. Unfortunately, the current administration is a very different story. The principal and secretary are unapproachable, dismissive, and, in my experience, even bullying toward parents. There’s a clear message that families are not welcome as active participants in their children’s education.That said, the teachers continue to do a wonderful job and clearly care about their students. It’s unfortunate that their efforts are overshadowed by an administration that creates a toxic and unwelcoming environment for parents.
