5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFor all parents with children that struggle with any neurological diversity, please consider any other option. Of a parent with 2 children that suffered from ADHD, scensory processing disorder, type 1 diabetes and more it was awful! Over 5 years with students with Special Needs at that school 0 progress 0 support for the family my children's progress was degressing, they fell so far behind and we spent our days trying to undo the triggers they had to endure every single day at that school. They did well with my son whom does not have special needs...so I guess there is that. We are in ORCA now both children excelling rapidly and finally after years of crying our family feels supported, cared for and encouraged. There are just a few exceptional teachers left at Irving and we will forever be grateful for the kindness and dedication they showed. Other than that this school does nothing but disservice to families of children with special needs. As far as sone of the support staff shame on you for putting money above children as I now know that has become your job.Parent Review3y ago14 Reviews - Shasta Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had 3 kids through Shasta. They experienced bullying, and continually degrading services by the school. My oldest daughter was even told You must have done something to provoke the bullying". She changed schools after that. Now, they've reduced time between classes from 6 to 4 minutes leaving my youngest with not enough time to use the restroom without being tardy or missing class time. Further, they have taken away the ability for kids to check their phones at lunch so parents can't communicate schedule changes, or kids can't ask to ride a different bus without bothering office staff. Thru also plan to start locking phones in pouches and charging parents if kids lose or damage them. The final straw was the removal of most electives. Band, art, or a better you, are the only electives. Needless to say Art was full so my daughter hates school this year. Add in the jail bars around the school, and this is a prison not a school.Parent Review9mo ago4 Reviews - Willamette High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHave had my kids in this school for last almost 5 school years now. My scores would have all been 1 Fully disagree due to this school and district treating my student at a dollar sign and that is it. They see that one of my student who is special needs has issues with a few boys on campus and yet even with a therapist saying her mental and physical health is at risk they deni us a Placement request to a total different district. They said the law says the issues at hand says they have to deni us the placement request. It has been fighting tooth an nail for proper IEP set up for one of our children. Our 2nd child is doing ok. There is a few teachers and vice principal which have lost one of good vice principals and a good teacher this year, but still a few good ones that truly care and want what is actually what is in the best interest of the student, being good role models, advocates, and mentors. Also the gates up and police on campus is a plus for some safety, but my daughter has been harrassed, threatened, put down, cornered, isolated, bullied since after covid and back to in campus all year up to currwnt date. Her anxiety, self isolation, depression, weight loss all are so bad that don't see how a school and district "Bethel School District" of West Eugene, Oregon could honestly only care about the dollars that follow the student and keep her here and through this and not grant a placement request to a fresh and safer request. I wish I had the money to move cause I would in a heart beat. Truly sadParent Review1y ago8 Reviews - Check out schools near 1378 Tirion Ave.

"Transportation is needed however, there is the bus and could walk if needed. River Rd is becoming more congested and can take 15-20 minutes just to get to the Beltline. "

"The commute to work is great... as long as traffic isn’t bad. River Road is very busy! The population is outgrowing infrastructure. Rush hour traffic makes it difficult to get anywhere fast. The drive to work can take 5 min or 20 depending on the day. "

"There isn’t a good dog park nearby, but you can walk your dog at the rodeo grounds fields at the end of Lancaster. There are lots of dog owners in the area & lots of neighborhoods to “street walk” in!!"

"centrally located, the Santa Clara area of Eugene is more suburb than city. traffic can be hectic, but they are working on the beltline now"

"Quiet neighborhood and this is the nicest home in the hood. Fenced, mature landscaping. On the edge of the city growth boundary so the open spaces to the north will remain that way. "

"I live in a wonderful old neighborhood! Its a quiet area. But if your gonna have a backyard party, invite everyone around you. We know our neighbors and can hear the train at 11 pm. We don't have sidewalks, so we have to teach our children and pets how to walk respectifully. If someone is driving down our road we wave to them, because they either live here, are lost or visiting a friend!"

"i live here and its a well established neighborhood with mature trees and neighbors that have lived there very long, the bus stop is right around the corner, it's very pet friendly people walk their dogs around all the time and are friendly, neighbors look out for each other, very clean street, the schools are one of the best in town, their is lots of shopping right down the street and close to the malls, their is lots of street parking and as well as 4 people can park in their driveways, their has been no crime records in this neighborhood and Santa Clara has one of the lowest crime rate in Eugene/Springfield, their is a park and rec right in the area with activities, swimming, exercise room daycare, summer camps and kids activities just a great area for anyone young, old or with a family "
