8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had an incredible experience going to LMHS. I felt supported by teachers, was in a couple clubs, was in choir and had several friends throughout my experience. I felt like it was a pretty balanced school with opportunities for students to be a part of anything they wanted to try. My parents felt like there was good communication from admin and I was able to take some more rigorous classes.Other Review3w ago - Los Coyotes Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo disappointed in this school. Why does the principal keep hiring bad teachers. Students aren’t learning anything or being challenged in any way. Their student of the month is based off of PBIS. Be safe be respectful and be responsible. My daughter said a boy got an award for being safe but he goes around and kicks his friends. Their student of the month award system is so subjective. I wish they would bring back the traditional academic/character student of the month back. PBIS is to help students work together to prevent behavior issues and support positive learning environment, for every correction there should be 5 praises, it’s not to separate students by giving them awards to point out who is being safe as if others are not being safe, or being respectful or being responsible. You do that with academics. There is hardly any extracurricular activity other than esports. That’s just playing video games, don’t try to sugar coat it by saying it’s building teams. They don’t even have enough up to date equipments. As I look forward to next year, I feel so hopeless as next year teachers are just as bad as current year. Teachers don’t have the mastery level to teach anything beyond 3rd grade level. That’s why only kinder teachers are getting teacher of the year. Students writing and math is Mickey Mouse club, Homework is busy work nothing critical. Math HW is one piece of paper downloaded and printed from the internet, Why? Just send home homework and remembering workbook so students can complete one page a day. Stop sending unnecessary busy work as homework wasting time. Don’t let test scores fool you. It’s the Asian parents sending their kids to after school programs where they get the real learning done. Take a Look at the academic progress; This is where teachers can really shine but they don’t. No progress from one grade to the next. 4/10 means this school has bad teachers. They are just there to collect paycheck. They are losing students every year and they might lose one more. I heard escolona and gardenhill has better learning environment.Parent Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 13616 La Jolla Cir #A.

"There are many parks in the area. Regional park is especially impressive with its large fishing pond, walking paths, indoor and outdoor sports centers, disc golf course, a water park, and a library all on the same grounds. Family events are also held in the park, with the biggest event of the year being the fireworks show on July 3rd."

"My mom grew up in La Mirada and bought a house in La Mirada. I hope to do the same and raise my own children here! It is an amazing city, with a small town feel, perfectly situated between the OC and LA. We truly get the best of both worlds. Freeway access is easy and getting better. Parks and community services/activities are AMAZING and many people from other local cities come to enjoy our events! We LOVE La Mirada💛"
