8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter was attacked physically on campus. They truly don't care. All they do is push paperwork. They did nothing to help my daughter. They have combined bathrooms where students are constantly having sex in. Kids are doing drugs all over campus and even in classrooms. These teachers are there to just collect a paycheck. They don't care about students. They care about funding and remodeling the school. Sexual assault has also occurred on campus and students have overdosed. Please don't send your kids here.Parent Review2mo ago18 Reviews - Walgrove Avenue Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe’ve been part of Walgrove Elementary for 10 years now, with both of our daughters starting in the TK program - six years apart. From the very beginning, this school has been a great experience for our family. What we love most is the strong sense of community. Families, teachers, and staff work together in such a supportive way that you feel connected and involved. Both of our children have thrived here not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. The teachers are dedicated, caring, and truly invested in their students’ success. They go above and beyond to meet kids where they are and to inspire a love of learning. The administration has also been fantastic - approachable, responsive, and always focused on what’s best for the students. After a decade here, we can confidently say that this school is truly special. We’re so grateful to have had such a positive experience, and we couldn’t imagine a better place for our daughters to grow and learn.Parent Review7mo ago79 Reviews - Mark Twain Middle School and World Languages Magnet

"There’s a lot of good sidewalks but the yards are very small so it can be difficult if you have a large dog"

"Overcrowded with tourists and homeless, there’s never street parking and it’s so noisy with fireworks/drunks/homeless. Nice to visit for restaurants that’s it. "

"I have lived in Venice all my life. There’s no other place I would rather live. The weather is great, usually 20° cooler than downtown Los Angeles. Many outdoor activities including bike riding, surfing, walking, tennis, paddle tennis, basketball, rollerskating , swimming, And many more. Great walkability to restaurants, shopping, library, farmers market. Dog friendly. "

"Venice gets more visitors than Disneyland. Parking is hard to find, the closer you are to the beach. Many homes are Airbnb. Love Venice but the prices are extremely high! the homeless population is higher than normal. "

"It’s a very “bohemian” environment... I’m sure super fun for kids 13-18... I would keep an eye on younger kids as Venice doesn’t always bring the best elements to the beach... all in all, it’s a fun diverse place with people from all over the world and all different social and economic backgrounds and a great place in my opinion."
