While there were some truly wonderful people at Sublimity Elementary who made a lasting impact on our family, our overall experience left us disappointed and relieved to move on.The cafeteria staff, janitorial staff, and therapists within the school deserve recognition for the kindness, patience, encouragement, and genuine care they consistently showed students. Those individuals helped create moments where children felt seen, supported, and motivated.Unfortunately, that same support was not reflected throughout the school as a whole. We experienced aggression and harsh behavior from certain teachers toward students that created anxiety, discouragement, and an unhealthy learning environment. Instead of building confidence, some interactions left students fearful of making mistakes or speaking up.Communication was another major issue — especially in the higher grade levels. There was a lack of transparency regarding academic struggles, available tools, intervention options, and ways parents could help support their children. Communication from teachers and administration often felt inconsistent, leaving parents confused and out of the loop.This school has a very “tight-knit” culture where it often feels like you’re either included or you’re not. Unfortunately, our family experienced the latter.We’re grateful for the few staff members who truly cared and made a difference, but overall, we are glad to be out of it
